Yaakov now Yisrael becomes the person he has been seeking. He leads with his higher self now assured in his journey and deeply rooted in the lessons of the past. His entire purpose has been the connection above that his father Yitzhak had and his grandfather Avraham lived his life to explore. So too it is in our power and indeed our destiny to contemplate the divine in everything. This piyut (poem) celebrates that calling and the journey it represents
