Butchers!!!
Cenk and his team caught my attention over a year ago on YouTube, and I instantly loved their show. It was crass and clever and it pulled no punches and the issues they addressed spoke to my core. However, lately I've been watching the show and it seems that Cenk takes great pleasure in berating the President at every turn. He constantly says he does this in in the spirit of fairness and it is just to show what he feels the President should do to be a better President, but it seems rather like a relentless attack on the President, not just creative criticism. I personally wanted the President to do many things differently than what he has done, but I also appreciate the things he has accomplished and I can honestly understand that the commitment of this Congress to undermine his every effort is unprecedented. When I watch TYT I follow the chat roll and it seems that it has become noting more than a sounding board for malcontents to rip the President, devoid of any consideration for the job he has done or the obstacles he has faced... Anyhow, does anyone think TYT is 100% correct in their relentless slamming of our President, or do they take things too far?

I watch Cenk and TYT. Cenk himself has said--"I will call the president out when he does good, I will call him out when he does bad." That seems fair to me. He also calls out the Reps. Just my opinion.

Leen you're right. I too have seen and heard him say that in response to people saying his criticisms were too harsh. I do want him to tell the unbiased truth, and I do want to know when the President does well and when there are things he could have done better. I feel he wouldn't be doing his job if he didn't present this information to us, but I've also seen him catch himself on camera acknowledging the fact that he was taking pot shots at the President. He once said something and paused and laughed and said he guessed he couldn't help himself sometimes. That however, is not my biggest concern. I fear his influence has created a very anti-Obama sentiment amongst his viewers. I'm afraid that a person like him, who has such passionate followers could talk folks out of re-electing the President. In such a potentially tight race, it can't do any good to rally against the only person who represents your interests. Even if that person at times disappoints you.

Great quote (lol) I really enjoy TYT, but if you follow the chat it's like a big President bashing party, and I just find it a little over the top. I was wondering if I was the only one who felt this way.
