Music fans mourn the passing of HSB founder Warren Hellman

Warren Hellman, beloved San Francisco financier, philanthropist and music enthusiast died Dec. 18 from complications while undergoing treatment for leukemia. He was 77.
The self-made billionaire was born in New York City in 1934 and grew up in Vacaville and San Francisco. He was the son of the late Marco and Ruth Hellman and the great-grandson of Isaias W. Hellman, the president of Wells Fargo Nevada National Bank.
After graduating from Harvard Business School in 1959 Mr. Hellman, at the age of 26, joined Lehman Brothers becoming the youngest partner in the firm's history.
