I think you're right. They're quietly running polls trying to gauge the viability of Jeb Bush so you know they're hurting. I think it's a power struggle between Big Money and GOP traditional political leadership. Big Money wants Romney but GOP don't really think he can win. IMHO, if it's Romney they're writing it off and saving Christie for later. If they really think they've got a shot or if Big Money wants to go "all in" we'll see Christie. Romney VP.

Huntsman is back burner... just part of the road show. This was supposed to be "GOP On Display" with something for everyone: Mr. Slick, the outspoken woman, the successful black conservative, the Texas states-righter, the old-country-doctor Libertarian, the brash new guy, and the up-and-comer solid family guy. Newt wasn't invited; he's a walk-on. They're supposed to have their all-expenses-paid time in the limelight then one-by-one endorse Mr. Slick. And that will happen. We've just got to play out the drama.
I certainly agree that Huntsman leads the talent portion with his protrayal of a rational human being.
