So much for the “racist” smearWhile the establishment media continues to hype a 15-year-old story concerning decades old newsletters as part of a dirty tricks campaign to smear Ron Paul as a racist, the latest CNN poll shows that Paul has the most support from non-whites out of all the Republican candidates.
The latest CNN/ORC poll released Tuesday finds that Congressman Paul scores highest amongst minorities when matched up against Barack Obama in a hypothetical election head to head.
Paul scores 25% of the vote amongst non-whites, whereas Romney polls at 20% and Gingrich gets 15%.
Ron Paul is clearly the most popular GOP contender amongst non-whites out of the entire field, suggesting that the “racist” smear, which was heavily pushed back in 2008, has had very little impact whatsoever on the views of those who presumably would be the most likely to be offended by it.
Indeed, it’s a remarkable coincidence that those who seem to be most offended by the non-controversy are well to do, white, establishment Republican cheerleaders, Paul’s foremost political adversaries.
The establishment media has predictably launched a second round of smear concerning the “racist newsletter” controversy that was first reported in 1996 and firmly debunked when it cropped up again in 2008.
Unsurprisingly, the hit piece was originated by a hardened anti-Paul neo-con who enjoys membership of the same shadowy billionaire-financed lobbying group (Foundation for Defense of Democracies) as Paul’s election rival Newt Gingrich.

It seems to me there are lots of white people repeating the smear that Ron Paul is a racist. They are assassinating the good doctor with one of their best weapons - the HEADLINE. Nobody has time to read the article then CNN pulls the recent stunt wasting time on this nonsense when the economy is imploding, the police state is being unleashed on all Americans and not just darker ones as in the past. Amigos, in short, the foreign bankers controlling our money supply and therefore our government promote collectivist nonsense because at the end of the day they will be the ones in charge of our global collective. Race is one of the prime weapons used by these greedy snakes who love money and power but just despise black people. The big kill off of black people is happening in Africa with Libya being a prime example of another genocide funded by these sick bankers. You can trace their war machine loan sharking back to WWI and even the civil war. This small group of insane inbred mega rich white men like Rockefeller and Rothschild are playing a game and we are the pawns. But you are like me no matter what your race or where you are right now if you are reading this. You love your family, friends and life especially so once we get these vipers out of our wallet.
Currently, you and I are free range slaves. We have been bagged and tagged at birth, tracked and monitored through the public school system and categorized depending on our willingness to follow orders. Compliant slaves get hired in the bureaucracy or other related industries and pick a new type of cotton for their masters. The cloth they weave with it is mostly used to control and tax themselves and other Americans. On the other hand the slaves that ask too many of the wrong questions or who wishes to live life as an individual who owns their time, body and personal labor output get marked for old fashion plantation slavery in the prison industry. Black people for years have been telling me the government and bankers bring in the drugs and it turns out they are absolutely correct.
There are two main groups calling Ron Paul racist. There are the dupes who believe this nonsense and then of course there are the shills who get paid to poison the well. Please don't swallow it and vote for Ron Paul.

If Paul was doing better in the national polls and the leading candidate(s) needed to be concerned and/or threatened, a lot more coverage would be given to his racist background. More coverage, more people aware of what a bigot he is, his ratings with non-whites would bomb

In case you haven't noticed, Ron Paul is polling at 15.6% nationwide, and McCain was only poling at just over 10% at this time in 2008. He is getting all this attention because he is a front runner, and the newsletters are the only thing the establishment can dig up on him!

do try to keep up and not blind yourself to RP's faults simply because he is against wars and believes in legalization of marijuana (and all other currently illegal substances). For an accurate average of polls go to Real Clear Politics where you will find that nationally Paul is polling at 12.6%, Gingrich is 27.8% and Romney is 24.4%. I will reiterate: at less than half of the polling for the two front runners, Paul is not a threat and hence isn't getting much news coverage of all that is wrong with this aberation of a candidate:
*In Paul's opinion, women don't have rights over their own bodies: he states very clearly that he would work to overturn Roe v. Wade and has also sponsored 4 bills to “To provide that human life shall be deemed to exist from conception.” contrary to medical and scientific information and would make forms of birth control, like the pill, illegal
*He has stated many times that he would not have voted for the Civil Rights Act
*He supports abolishing the minimum wage, would work to repeal OSHA, and has twice sponsored legislation to repeal a couple of existing federal Acts which, among other things, prohibits corporate “kick backs.”
* "I think there is a theory, a theory of evolution, and I don't accept it," Paul said, and "The creator that I know created us, each and every one of us and created the universe, and the precise time and manner," .... and this guy is a medical doctor
*He doesn't believe that education or medical care are rights of US citizens.
*He's stated that he would work to repeal the Gun-Free School Zone Act
*He has sought to amend the Clean Air Act, repeal the Soil and Water Conservation Act of 1977 and amend the Federal Water Pollution Control Act to “restrict the jurisdiction of the United States over the discharge of dredged or fill material to discharges into waters”. He supports mining on federal lands with no taxes on the production of fuel, plus building more oil refineries and would stop any and all conservation efforts that could be a “Federal obstacle” to building and maintaining these refineries. To hell with clean air, water and uncontaminated soil, if protection of those means even a perceived obstical to some energy corporation
*He has repeatedly submitted amendments to the tax code that would get rid of the estate and gift taxes, tax all earners at 10%, disallow income tax credits to individuals who are not corporations, repeal the elderly tax credit, child care credit, earned income credit, and other common credits for working class citizens.

Did anyone (including the poster) actually read the poll? It was conducted a week ago, before many people even knew about the news. Paul has 25% amongst non-white against Obama who has 70%. guess whos also close... ROMNEY, the man has 20% amongst non-white. Not to mention the margin of error is 7%. So please dont say hes clearly the most popular amongst non-whites. A 5% difference is NOTHING, especially considering that massive margin of error.
Lets wait til there is a poll conducted in the future. Besides, I think people should be more worried about the young vote, its almost 50/50 between Obama and Ron Paul.

The fact is the little bastard published and made money from a racist, antisemitic, homophobic newsletter in the 1980's and 1990's. As such, he is deserving of only scorn, contempt and disdain.

Perfect timing for the cult of Ron Paul to propagandize this. The fact of the matter is the man is a gutless pussy for failing to honestly and candidly address his blatantly racist and homophobic newsletter articles.

The fact of the matter is he has candidly addressed it scores of times before to the point where it becomes patronizing to try and slip it in as an attempted gottcha question for the umpteenth time in an interview. It's already been tried numerous times before. Just spinning wheels and rehashing something that was already explained years ago.
This was settled last cycle 2007 when it was nationally addressed multiple times. It's not a new claim.
Instead of whining about how unsatisfied you are and wanting him to address it again, why don't you stop waiting to be spoon fed and actually do some Research, and read how he addressed it the 50 other times it was brought-up in the LAST Presidential election cycle.

i don't buy his story about the newsletters, seems like a crock a shit to me, especially when combined with his opposition to the civil rights act and his reasons for opposing it come across as bullshit
"Ron Paul: Mr. Speaker, I rise to explain my objection to H.Res. 676. I certainly join my colleagues in urging Americans to celebrate the progress this country has made in race relations. However, contrary to the claims of the supporters of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the sponsors of H.Res. 676, the Civil Rights Act of 1964 did not improve race relations or enhance freedom. Instead, the forced integration dictated by the Civil Rights Act of 1964 increased racial tensions while diminishing individual liberty."
I doubt race relations in america is anything near what it was in 1964, but is his position on the civil rights act, real racism or libertarian extremism?
I don't know if he has changed his beliefs about race from 22 years ago or not or how it would affect policies if he would become president, but i do believe that he had racist views when he published that newsletter, whether or not he still holds those views today is another story.

Dont care one bit about anyone else besides themself who is non white. VOTE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE YOUR BEST INTERESTS IN MIND NOT THOSE THAT ARE AGAINST YOU.

For the past several days I've turned on CNN and have seen them try to label Ron Paul a racist.
I honestly only had it on for just a minute or two today and that was the one little tid-bit of bullshit.... They're still claiming Ron Paul is a racist, as of like 10 minutes ago...
It's this little thing called "fear" the republicans fear him, the democrats fear him, and there isn't a damn thing they can do to slow him down.
For him to be that hated, he's doing something right.
But they are correct and being honest about him being favored republican among Chocolate voters...

"but the are correct and being honest about him being favored republican among Chocolate voters" considering the wide margin of error in this poll (+/- 7%) taking into account Romney's polling (20% compared to Paul's 24%) and that ron paul fans are known for gaming polls in their favor you might not want to adopt this a talking point.

Saying Ron Paul has the most minority support of Republicans is not saying much since the base of the Republican party is basically old racist white guys in the South.
Why would anyone support a racist, misogynistic, homophobic, bible thumping little twerp like Ron Paul? The truth is he published and profited from racist Newsletters for almost 2 decades in the 80's and 90's.
