I know, we'll let the bureaucracies like the ones that run the FDA, EPA, (you know the one that 's impotent in the face of BP dumping toxic chemicals in the Gulf, and the other one that allows Monsanto's Genetically Engineered foods, and arsenic in our chicken feed supply that does eventually get ingested by us.) run our "department of education"...

Oh-Wait, we already do, and they argue over how much tomato paste in pizza constitutes a "serving" of vegetables, when we've established years ago that tomatoes are actually a FRUIT!!!... Much like how the Reagan administration wanted to deem Ketchup a fucking vegetable that could qualify on the school lunch menu as a "serving" (by itself) of vegetables in a "balanced" diet...

And don't point out the insane bureaucracy, or the inability of these ineffective governmental agencies to do a fucking job in a conscientious manner, or your just a republican "extremist"...

Whatever.... Schools are a prisons/corporate indoctrination camp, they don't teach you shit but how to follow instructions, kiss ass, and be a good little consumer...

And although the argument could be made that privatized schools would just further that. It also stands to reason that not only could children potentially get educated in a private school setting, that maybe even some decent industries might want to fund education for those excelling in the areas it would take to fill future jobs in their industries.... It's not like they don't hand out scholarships already...

The bureaucracy is ruining it, and I agree everyone should have free education up to a point (as well as health-care). But the "state" can't do anything but cater to big business already, so why not get rid of some of the red-tape, and allow students who can and will excel to excel, instead of spending years going over the same, often useless shit?

No they want to crack down on home-school (which is odd those kids almost always prove more intelligent than public school children), and keep everyone in public school tied to the same shit curriculum, at the same pace.....

I say if you can be "Doogie Howser, M.D." be it, and for most young people with that amount of intelligence, in public schools, it isn't an option....
