Ron Paul Reacts To Black Man’s Testimony Video

maasanova
GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul has commented on the emotional testimony of a man who explained how Dr. Paul came to his rescue when know one else would purely because his wife was white and he was black.

The video, released this week not by the Paul campaign but by independent supporters, features James Williams explaining how close to forty years ago Ron Paul was the only physician who would help him when his pregnant wife became sick.

Mr Williams of Matagorda County, Texas, says he believes no one would come to his aid and deliver the couple’s child “because of the difference, me being black and her being white”.

Mr Williams then explains how Ron Paul stepped in and took care of his wife and even dealt with the medical expenses after the baby was tragically stillborn.

Appearing on the Jan Mickelson radio show, Paul, was clearly emotional when the audio of the piece was played back to him.

Commenting on the video, Paul said “I’m amazed that they found that. If you’d have asked me to go back and find somebody like that I wouldn’t know.”

Explaining that although he does not recall the specifics of the incident, Paul added that he found it humbling to know how grateful Mr Williams is.

    • I for one am perfectly fine;

drone striking unarmed civilians in foreign countries,

laughing off the national public when they demand change in the form of marijuana policy reform, when they've obviously put it to our presidents attention in numbers consistent with having a majority,

pretending we live in a "democracy" when the president has demonstrated that isn't the case,

arming Israel with bunker busters to further provoke Iran,

arming Egypt (a country that has no government right now) with $60 Billion worth of arms (okay we only gave them 30 billion worth so far), when whoever in Egypt that is "in charge", is so archaic they recently executed a woman for being a "witch",

passing NDAA and getting rid of all this pesky questioning the policies of our fascist, warmongering, CONSERVATIVE leader (you know Obama),

regime changing every country we can for corporate gains, while leaving countries like Syria, where the people are terrified they'll be slaughtered when international attention dies down, are needing real help.... (Sorry Syria, we spent all our military "capital" dethroning Qaddafi, so we could get all that; oil, water, and gold.... Can't really excuse regime changing you guys at the moment..... And pretending that was the right thing to do.)

Wait..... All that shit Obama has done sucks rocks, resigning the "patriot-act" all that horse-shit in the name "homeland security" when the fact remains (albeit still mostly hidden from the public) we could have prevented the event that lead up to the creating the "Department of Homeland Security"....

NO that wasn't even the type of change the asshole promised, he didn't promise the first time to be a "centrist conservative" (which is what MANY on the left consider him), he didn't promise to grow the police-state, or the military industrial complex, or sign an executive order giving himself the "legal right" to execute whomever he sees fit, and not even have to admit to it later....

But "Bat-Shit"..... That label best fits Obama any day of the week....

Because calling Obama a fascist is racist? I think anomaly was actually an Obama supporter in 2008. Oh wait I forgot differing views make you a racist in the magical land of unimatrix where conjecture is fact and big government will solve the problems created by big government.

You can probably dig up some of my posts supporting Obama back then. I campaigned for him and I am actually in the video infomercial he ran in 08 . I loved the candidate Obama, but I don't even know who the guy in the oval office is now!

Obama has 88% approval rating in the party. I think he'll do quite well without people who are in an extreme minority. I almost hope a Republicant teabagger does win so people like you find out what real political hell is like. After all , you haven't really lived untill you've survived 8 years of Ronnie Raygun style political torture. Nothing makes you more mature and grown up faster than almost a decade of Republicant greed , incompetence, minority bashing , science denying, misogynistic, racist , homophobic, war mongering, corporate ass kissing , climate change denying, EPA, Dept.of Energy and Education bashing Neanderthals. Yep, let's turn back the clock to the dark ages. Hey, maybe we can burn witches. lynch blacks, stone homos to death and force women to have the babies of their rapists too. But, wait, we don't need to go back to Reagan for that, we just lived through 8 years of W. How quickly they forget.

Um, dismantling the U.S. government is treason, but allowing indefinite detention of U.S. citizens without trial is not? What about extra-judicial killings of 2 U.S. citizens (One of them a 16 year old boy) without trial? Fascism, I don't think that word means what you think it means.

Get a grip. Organize your thoughts. Create a coherent sentence. Use punctuation. Capitalize when neeeded and yes, learn to spell. And the profanity should be used as a form of making an emphatic point, not sprinkled liberally throughout your statement as though you were some street punk who has no vocabulary. Who knows, someone may begin to take your rantings seriously.

    • Unimatrix please post your links to support your conjecture or quiet down. This is a place for educated discourse and not blind personal attacks! I do understand though, if this is a battle of facts, you appear to be unarmed!

Your unfettered hatred for paul over shadows any intelligent debate you might give.
      you realize that dont you?
you are actually hurting your case.
why not approach it like an adult?
instead of calling people who are free to support whomever they wish silly names.
      bit childish.

Whenever I read some desperate sap trying to defend Paul by attacking me I know I am winning.

I also wonder when I run across those defending Paul if they are a white supremacist, or simply a feeble minded fool being deluded by a white supremacist. Either way, every Paul supporter has my sympathy, and my pity.

Hello pot? ... This is the kettle... Your black!

Oh noes I used black in a statement, am I now a racist? Also your links still prove nothing. This is like calling Steve Forbes a racist if a writer for Forbes writes something racist.

this is NOT meant to be insulting, but given your well-proclaimed disdain for all things Christian, I find it slightly amusing that you are using "The Christian Science Monitor" to make a point....

There are so many sources covering Paul's despicable, bigoted past right now that there were literally hundreds of news sites to choose from. I just pulled a couple of links real quick. Although there is a nice balance between ThinkProgress, which is on the left, and CS Monitor, which is on the right. The two cover the whole spectrum, and fairly well illustrate the consensus on Paul.

    • The video is a red herring, and does nothing to change the fact that Paul has been thoroughly exposed as a racist, homophobic, antisemitic, bible thumping bigot.

Indeed, it is hard to imagine how anyone could support Ron Paul except for white supremacists and those feeble minded individuals dumb enough to be duped by white supremacists.

At this point I would not be surprised by anything Paul does - the guy is bat shit crazy. But it does seem certain, given the facts surrounding his newsletter, and his past comments, that Paul is a racist, homophobic, antisemitic, douche bag.

I also know that in the past slave masters showed their slaves an occasional kindness, but this does not excuse the fact that they were slave masters, does it?

So glad someone else recognizes Paul and the Paulologists for what he and they are. They can vote us down as much as they like but you must admit it will be fun seeing the look on their faces after Iowa is over and Paul gets crushed in the next primaries like the racist little pissant he is.
