There are two kinds of white people. On the one hand there are those of us who take pride in our contributions to science, engineering, government, and the true message of Christianity, and on the other hand there are the Nazis, Ku Klux Klanners, and Teabaggers. Sorry to be so unsubtle; but it is what it is.

However, Robertson was reportedly kicked out of tea party event for carrying sign with racial slur
Washington Independent reported that Robertson was kicked out of 2009 Houston tea party event for carrying sign with racial slur. The Washington Independent's David Weigel reported on January 4 that "Dale Robertson, a Tea Party activist who operates TeaParty.org, is getting stung for an old photo -- taken at the Feb. 27, 2009 Tea Party in Houston -- in which he holds a sign reading 'Congress = Slaveowner, Taxpayer = Niggar.' " Weigel also reported that "Josh Parker of the Houston Tea Party Society tells me that Robertson was booted out of the event for this sign." Weigel included the following picture:

I must admit to the fact that I LOVED (and still do) posting funny pictures and videos of Georgie Bush and Dicko Cheney. But there was truth behind the pictures and videos.
I didn't attack GWB because of his skin color or his wife Laura or his children, either. I used what he PERSONALLY said or did that BEGGED for me to poke fun at him.
All Mr. Obama has done is breath air and the rightwing pounces on him and his family.
BIG DIFFERENCE, right?
Now, if President Obama was going around raping the English language or constantly tried to exit locked doors...or flipped cameras the "bird"....or all the things that were hilarious on their own merit, well, I could get into making fun of Mr. Obama, too!
We all must admit, he's done very little in ways of embarrassing himself by doing anything comedic. Mr. Obama is not what I would call a plethora of comedic relief . He's rather plain and ordinary when it comes to walking without tripping or swallowing pretzels without choking or much at all.
But George Walker Bush was the grandaddy of 'em all when it came to stupid things people can sometimes do!
Now, back to the guy who really made me laugh....and a helluva lot of crying, too!
GWB!

Andy Breitbart offered quite a bit of money to anyone who could produce proof of this. To my knowledge it went uncollected. The principles of the Tea Party are necessary to ensure the continued success of this republic (no fools, the principles are NOT racism). The hatred and violence in our policics is largely the result of the efforts, rhetoric and class warfare from the left. THAT is what needs to stop in this country. Limited government, individual freedom and responsibility, reduced spending should be everyones receipe. Instead we have posts such as this trying to convince anyone and everyone that one side is all evil and the other is the savior. What a crock.

A teabagger without a racist agenda is like Aunt Jemima Pancakes without her syrup. What could possibly be worse? Snap and Pop, without Cracker?
But seriously, look at the date the Teaparty gives as its own founding (from one of their websites)
There are many who would love to take credit for the birth of the Tea Party Movement, but the actual credit for the movement is still under debate. One version dates back to 2007 on the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party when Ron Paul’s presidential campaign raised over 6 million dollars in one day and as a result, the Tea Party was born. Another version has the credit for the modern movement going to a user on tickerfourm.org that goes by the name Gmak. Tom Martin of the American Preppers Network did his homework of sifting through all the blogs and forums on the internet and came to the conclusion that Gmak posted an article on January 19th 2009 with the title “Mail a Teabag to Congress and Senate”. On January 20th 2009, Karl Denninger with the Market Ticker posted an article entitled “TEA PARTY February 1st?” This is the post that went viral in which hundreds of emails were sent out and countless blogs and forums were referencing the February 1st Tea Party.
See. It just coincides with an African American being elected President. This is obvious to everybody except the self deluding Teabaggers themselves. Just like the Civil War was really about "states rights".

Well I'd say "Fixed Noise" play to the wedge issues also, but just like all the MSN sometimes they throw out something that peaks my interest so it's off to the interweb to look around and see what is what.
When viewing "news" channels I always run this disclaimer in my head "For Entertainment Purposes Only" and then I look for the spin and more times than not there is spin or flat out omission of facts. But researching and finding the spin and omission is a very educational endevor and gives one insight to the individual commentator.

I take EVERYTHING with a grain of salt until I take the time and effort to research what was stated. I use all the tools afforded me....foreign newspapers, news sources, journalists, opinionators and pundits. I also read what others, the people in the street, have to say...pro AND con.
My father taught me to search for the truth by seeking it from both sides of the coin and THEN viewing the edge where it's found more times than not. But every once in a while I have to take a set of shears and open that coin up to gaze into it's very core to find what I'm looking for, metaphorically speaking of course! That's when you will find whether it's solid with truth OR just "plated over" inaccurancies.
One of the best "reporters"....as that is what they are SUPPOSED to be - newsmen/women - not commentators...was Edward R. Murrow.
And he had some very enlightening things to say about what responsibilities the news organizations were given and that it was a sacred duty assigned to them for the public good and yet....they and we did not listen to his admonitions, now did we?
Amd he was proven to be correct, too!
If you wish to know a man, ask his friends what they think of him and then ask his enemies to get an overall picture of who he is. That's those two sides of that proverbial coin I spoke of.
And then ask his wife. That's the heart of a man. His core.
P.S. What ERM was referring to was the television set...but it works for the "intertubes", too!

In the bottom righthand corner of this vid there are 3 words combined; the LAST word in that trio is the CORRECT spelling of the word you have spelled over and over again as 'pundant.' Do you see it? The correct spelling is pundIT (caps are for emphasis) ... I cannot hear your argument as long as you CONSISTENTLY misspell your words. Leen61:
Remember when John McCain was singing, "Bomb, bomb, bomb...bomb, bomb Iran"? Well, there are TWO MICs I see that's pushing us into war after war....that's the Military Industrial Complex AND the Media Industrial Consortium! And guess who is beholding to them both?
OUR government.
But it seems as if the only way to get the average citizen's attention is when something hits their pocketbooks. Like when the Straits of Hormuz shuts down and we're all paying $15 per gallon of gas....but then it will be too late to do anything about it but keep the "Blood of Industry"...OIL...flowing as much as is possible.
The crisis that will ensue will be created by greed. Do you really believe that the oil industry does NOT want war with Iran? Wouldn't you want war to break out if you were sitting on oil reserves that would triple in value OVERNIGHT? Or how about GOLD! Now that would make a tidy profit for those who squirreled away a load of gold if we "fell" into another world war!
Until we take profit out of waging war, there will ALWAYS be war!
"At various times the question of when and under what circumstances to export arms has also been seen as a moral issue facing the United States. This is so because weapons are, by definition, instruments of violence, and so their transfer to another party is thought by many to entail some degree of responsibility for any uses to which they are put by their recipients. After World War I, for example, many Americans opposed the export of arms on the grounds that their sale contributed to the likelihood of war and also provided obscene profits to the "merchants of death." Similarly, during the Cold War some people objected to the sale or transfer of arms to pro-American dictators such as Anastasio Somoza of Nicaragua and Mobutu Sese Seko of Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo) who had been accused of egregious human rights violations.
The Civil War, like the wars that preceded it, proved to be an enormous boon to the private arms industry. Once the war ended, however, the U.S. government sharply reduced its procurement of commercially manufactured weapons. To survive in this new environment, private arms companies such as Remington, Winchester, and Colt looked to the civilian market and to foreign customers for the orders needed to survive. This in turn spurred the introduction of new gun designs and manufacturing processes. As a result, American gun firms became adept at the mass production of cheap, reliable, and highly effective firearms.
Although the U.S. government did not always take advantage of this burgeoning capability, other governments were less inhibited. Samuel Remington, the president of Remington Arms Company, opened a sales office in Paris and secured lucrative contracts for the sale of rifles and ammunition to several European countries. Other U.S. firms, including Winchester, also obtained significant contracts from European governments. During the Franco-Prussian War of 1870–1871, for example, the French army ordered 100,000 rifles and 18 million rounds of ammunition from the Union Metallic Cartridge Company of Bridgeport, Connecticut (later a division of Remington Arms)." - Source: http://www.answers.com/topic/arms-industry-1
So, as you can understand, there will be those that will see HUGE profits if a war was to break out over oil with Iran. Hasn't the Iraq War taught us ANYTHING?
But a man by the name of General Smedley Darlington Butler explained how war should be funded...and CEOs of war-making materials and war profiteers certainly wouldn't like that to occur!
Why, how would they make money hand over fist if we took profit out of war?
