    • AHEM... might I suggest that you listen to this and pay close attention what the NDAA actually does say about protecting the sovereignty of US citizens from unlawful detainment by our military..?

And the only question I have is; what mental problem do those in this thread who have posted such passionate yet severely uninformed comments in opposition to the DAA have? Perhaps they love those dirty, ass-backwards Islamist criminals and want to give them aid and comfort! Once again, I sit here stratching my, uh,,,,head, asking, WTF?

    • LAST DAY OF THE YEAR IN HAWAII OBAMA signs indefinite DETENTION BILL,
which is the corner stone to Police State NAZI STYLE Government.
ADOLPH HITLER Feb.28,1933, the regime issued an Emergency Decree Suspending Constitutional Guarantees authorizing executive Power for restoration of Law and Order.
Nazi Power 1933 was consolidated by massive search and seizures of all firearms. 1938 Hitler signed new GUN LAW, that only allowed Nazi Party members to have arms, all the rest denied ownership. This included that anyone in mere possession of arms would be shot with no trial. Under this law hundreds of Berliners were killed, anyone with a gun enemy of the state.

ADOLPH HITLER SAID the most foolish mistake we could possible make,
would be to allow the subject races to posses arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing.

TODAY GERMANY BASIC LAW GRUNDGESETZ includes the following provision. When other avenues are not open, ALL GERMANS have a RIGHT to RESIST attempts to impose Unconstitutional Authority.
If the Nazi experience teaches anything, it TEACHES that Totalitarian governments will attempt to disarm their subjects so as to extinguish any ability to resist CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY.
INTERESTING SIDE NOTE. OBAMA SIGNS IN HAWAII. Hawaii has always been in USA OCCUPATION 1/3 of Hawaiian property owned by Military. TAKE OVER OF HAWAII WAS MILITARY OCCUPATION NEVER A VOTE NO HAWAIIAN WANTED USA, STILL DOES NOT WANT OCCUPATION BY USA. LEARN HISTORY THEN YOU WILL KNOW WHY OBAMA IS WHO HE IS.AND WHY YOU CANNOT TRUST HIM.
End of the DAY AMERICA HANG ON TO YOUR GUNS FROM POLICE STATE ACTION OBAMA TROJAN DRONE HORSE.
IS AMERICA TOO DUMB TO KNOW! YES !

    • And oh yes, he just HAD TO SIGN IT to keep the MILITARY going and to hell with people falling into POVERTY. BILLIONS for the military always when we need it even though we are "broke." He already lost my vote, but this seals it. He has left future generations open to the whims of madmen. He is drunk with power as well and needs to be put in his place. SICK of this entire system and those on all sides who keep supporting it just because they share the same letter politically. OH, and Obama and this government, you just try shutting me up!

"On board?" I wouldn't phrase it that way. I am an American citizen outraged with anyone who seeks to takes our liberties away and I have always believed that. And I am not voting for Obama nor ANY Republican including Ron Paul as I also treasure my right to a sustainable planet. As it stands now I will be voting Justice Party.

Me neither! That being said, I don't want to see Paul run as a 3rd party, doing so will bleed off some independent thinking people from voting for the GOP candidate, and certainly insure that Dumbo is given 4 more years to damage America even more. Supporting Ron Paul as a 3rd party candidate is supporting Dumbo, no matter what anyone says, that's reality. Yeah, I'd love it if Libertarians were in charge of everything, but that 'aint gonna happen any time soon. The Libertarian candidates merely take votes that would have gone to the GOP, and they don't have a chance of getting the votes to get elected themselves, so in the end, they only aid the communist candidate, who's base is frozen in the ever-increasing indigent/entitlement class.

Supporting Ron Paul if he steps out of the GOP fold is the same as supporting the hater of America and capitalism himself.

wow jan im shocked. but obamas bad leadership is no surprise to those of us on the right, we saw it coming in 2007. nice to see the rest of the country catching up to our dire warnings from 4 years ago, but liberal america wanting to prove how un-racist they are were too determined to elect a black man regardless of his shady background . now if you could just extend your newly formed skepticism toward al gore

I mean when he does something stupid his only excuse is the Republicans "MADE ME DO IT."

    • This is a dangerous piece of legislation and to say that im disappointed in obama would be an understatement. However, he is still better than any of the alternatives. The alternatives would keep this piece of shit bill and probably add to it. Along with getting rid of the FDA,EPA, public schools, women's rights, they would make it harder for gays to receive equal rights... on and on. I'll take Obama and all his fuck ups over any republican any.day. Ron paul? I would never vote for a racist, bigoted, misogynistic POS.

Only very few are left to even care about the American people and the rest are big government, big pharma, world government loving, depopulation supporting, big agriculture/Monsanto, pedophiles and rapists, and control freaks that want their New World Order master plan. Their system is almost completely set up and once they do they will round us up and throw us in Concentration Camps or in other words American GITMOs that will be set up to systematically torture, abuse, rape, and kill any American that goes out of line in controlled corporate RothsChild/Rockefeller-Run politics.

Both political parties have betrayed us. Want proof then why did 93 senators whether democrat or republican voted yay on the NDAA. Obama is corrupt, Bush is corrupt, and even Clinton was corrupt and a lying cheater.

Left vs. Right is the same as wrestling. The corporations backing both sides! Doesn't matter what side of the coin you flip it is the same coin!!!!

Democrats or Republicans are a no go! We need to vote for a non-left, non-right politician. Either we vote for Ron Paul or we vote third party!

We NOW have a real choice. Rocky Anderson, the former 2-term, progressive Democratic Mayor of Salt Lake City, Utah (a very ReThugican state), has formed the Justice Party & is running for the presidency. He needs our help. The corporate media is attempting to censor him. What else is new? Please check him out & help him be seen, so that he can get on the ballot in all 50 states.

Please stop spreading misinformation. The green party is not the reason bush won in 2000. The statistical evidence simply does not support that theory. Bush won because of the security moms, women who historically vote democrat but voted for bush because they thought gore was too soft on terror.

Actually, thousands of Democrats voted for Bush in Florida, the idiots. They betrayed Al Gore as did his own party. The fix was also in. They wanted their PNAC war and they knew he wouldn't give it to them, so they made sure Florida wasn't going to be won by Al Gore even though subsequent counts show him wiining the state by hundreds of thousands of votes far exceeeding any effect Nader may have had on it. Ralph Nader while a fly in the ointment was ultimately not the spoiler he is claimed to be. The plan was much more sinister than that as we saw during the recount brown shirt brigade attacks and the ultimate USSC's unconstitutional decision. Democrats also didn't work hard enough for Al Gore and then desserted him during the time he wanted to seek jusitce, telling him to end it already. John Kerry was even quoted as telling people talking about it a couple years later to, "stop crying in their tea cups." That's the two party system for you. They turn on their own on the turn of a dime, which is one reason why I no longer have use for them.

My point was that voting third party or sitting out may have more severe consequences.
And there was a Nader affect, although I am not blaming the greens for Gores loss. Ultimately, al gore is to blame for that and he has taken full responsibility for the loss.

      http://Blackboxvoting.org

Bush won because of election fraud & corruption. In fact, Bush really didn't win. Nor did he win in 2004. There was massive electronic voter machine fraud, especially in Ohio that year. For a democracy to be a real democracy, elections have to be clean. Ours are not, and NO ONE in the media, speaks about that. Anyone with the source code to these corporately furnished electronic voting machines, can control the vote. There is ample proof of that. Check out Blackboxvoting.org. Join electionintegrity@googlegroups.com. This is the most pressing issue in our country today. We need to go back to widely observable, and televised, hand-counted paper ballots, just as was done in the Al Franken recount.

    • Ok now we go to work at demanding from our reps and the administration that the clause be repealed. The signing statement is valid, and eliminates the issue, unless of course we elect a right winger.

In the mean time at the risk if sounding cynical Obama just gave "everyone" a real good reason not to elect a Republican or Tea Party nut job.

I would vote for anyone but him as his promise is B.S. As demonstrated by the patriot act, gitmo, FISA, buch tax cuts, Iraq war, government transparency, influence of lobbyist, and on and on.

He will be legally able to do so because OBAMA signed this into law.
