Haley endorsement: curse or blessing?

Nikki Haley nabbed quite a bit of news in the past week as the South Carolina governor toured the state with her endorsed presidential candidate, Mitt Romney.A bigger story busted out soon after, though, when the arrest of state Rep. Thad Viers for first-degree harassment was released. (His second arrest for similar charges in less than six years, too.)
But that didn’t knock Nikki’s name out of the news. After all, last year she endorsed Viers after he announced his bid for the state’s new U.S. congressional district.
Not a very good track record for Haley endorsements, now is it?
At least Viers pulled out of the congressional race after his arrest. Hopefully, and for his own sake, Romney will drop his campaign, too. Paying an unpopular governor to endorse him hasn’t done him much good, and the Haley Curse is likely to catch up to him.
