But let's not forget the roots of Fascism, the very roots. Fascism is very difficult to clearly define, and Stalin asked his people to use it to brand dissentors. I guess the YouTube "artist" learned well from his predecessor.
But the "root" of Fascism, Nazism, Communism is quite clear to a dispassionate observer: The centralization of power. A "dream" or "vision" by people, and the only way to realize this is via the central power. In America, it is the FEDERAL government, of course.
And this is what the American Left has in common with all of the above.
Now, some fatuous posters will claim that I am calling Liberal fascists or Nazis, and that will be a vapid response, of course. What I AM saying is that it is an inclination as old as humanity: The desire to centralize power for a variety of reasons. There are those who believe they will be part of the power, and there are others who believe the security and guarantees that it promises. Others are simply fearful and still others insist on conformity (aka "political correctness" of Liberals).
American Left-wingers are not promoting a national army (even though B. Hussein Obama allluded to creating one) that will break down people's doors and send them off to re-education camps, of course. Rather, it is the "soft despotism" of political correctness, excessive regulations, socialized medicine, historical revisionism, and class warfare.

We are not living in any sort of fascist nation, of course. The Left-wingers are the ones trying to instill fear by claiming that the government is soon going to drag CITIZENS out of their homes for the slightest infractions, even though it has not really happened - IN A DECADE!
Government controls marriage? Heck, America has one of the highest divorce rates in the world. Liberal government encouraged divorce and single-parenthood; I suppose that is "progress."
Religion and government? Let's get real: Name any prominent figure in politics who wants to have a state/national religion. LOL.
Corporations? Don't forget that fatso Mickey Moore, the exalted Lefty icon, invested in Halliburton!
There is no movement to suppress labor at all, none in the slightest, unless one thinks that having RIGHT to work legislation, freely chosen by the people via their legislators, is some kind of "suppression." Remember what Adolph did with unions, please..... One big national, happy union family. Get more government people unionized in America, and then there will be a MASS of supporters of the FEDERAL governemnt, by gosh!
Free expression in the arts? I suppose this refers to Andres Serrano’s "Piss Christ" in which a crucifix was placed upside-down in a glass of urine, or Robert Mapplethorpe, in "Self Portrait with Whip," had a picture of himself with the end of a whip in his exposed anus.

Fantastic post as usual Kenny.
BUT, after reading the comments I can see why we were CAUGHT SLEEPING for the last thirty years. We are BITCHING more about the MUSIC and not a word about the MESSAGE. That is the problem with us LIBERALS, INDEPENDENTS, AND PROGRESSIVES. Concerned more with the visade and less about the internal workings. We need to wake the FUCK UP.
WE THE PEOPLE, HELLO, ARE LIVING IN A FACIST NATION. IT IS UP TO US TO CHANGE WHAT WE ARE ABOUT. Obama can't do it alone.
Every point that the video made is true and yet we are complaining about the MUSIC and not the MESSAGE. So what if it was William Tell and not John Philip Sousa, That is NOT the Point. The point is, is that IF We the People DON'T DO
SOMETHING, WE ARE FUCKED. Look past the VISADE and understand what is REALLY hapening. - 1 year ago

Obama doesn't want to change our Fascist nation. He likes it this way. Remember, he is the one who signed the NDAA Bill last week. In doing so, he is denying us our Bill of Rights. Such are the very roots of Fascism. It is up to we the people to get money out of the political system by denying the Dem/ReThug Greedy Party its hold on our country. I'm trying to help the new Justice Party (justicepartyusa.net), and Rocky Anderson win the Presidency. This is a group that is dedicated to the elimination of greed and corporatism in American life and politics. It will not be an easy task, because he can't get any press time. In Fascism, the press and the government are linked symbiotically. Please check out Rocky, the former 2-term Democratic Mayor of Salt Lake City. He is a REAL progressive, not a phony one like Obama, and not a corporatist like the ReThugs running for the Presidency.

Agreed. As an old friend once told me plainly: Nationalism aka Naziism is: my
country wrong or right aka wrong and Reich. Patriotism is: my country as I do
what's right to make myself a good example of all that's good about it so that
foreigners can tell their own people Americans seek Truth & Justice because
without dealing honestly & fairly with others-without exception-there can be no
sacred Peace. All the aggressive foreign wars of Corporate Piracy stem from
the Banksters' collossal fraud, Monopoly, and phony bailouts here in the States.
Bush didn't know the difference between nationalism and patriotism when he
started his false flag terrorism cash cow and called it the Patriot Act as if he
were some Revolutionary War Minuteman farmer/militiaman. The trouble as
I see it is we have too many stupid humps who won't understand the distinction. - 1 year ago

William Tell is one of the national heros of Switzerland, is he not ? Will Lyman
stared in a 1986 TV series aired here in the USA portraying the righteous bona
fide character he was/is. Since the spirit of all heros everywhere lives forever in
the minds & hearts of all those who remember them, and are inspired by them.
The struggle of good vs evil is timeless. As they used to intro the TV series
called Dragnet during the 1960s: ": The story you are about to see is true.
Only the names & faces have changed to protect the innocent. Must be nice to
be courageous AND anonymous. I wouldn't know about that fortunately. No, not
so in the passive Zeitgeist of those afraid of their own shadow who carry on as
the sheeple. Fascism=Baaaaaaaaad. Heh. Long live the OWS movement !!!!!!

Nothing wrong with a little humor here and there. We see almost
nothing but farce in the political arena. The problem with those
clowns is that they now wear their casual clothes to make it look
like they've been one of the common people all along instead
of vultures, brigands, and villians. Except for only one of the Rs,
every one of the contenders for the R nomination is a Corporatist

are, imho, not essentialy different than Nobama. They only want

Pretty much a long but silent observation of your posts for the past few months. Ya just seem like a dick who belittles and berates people sharing opinions that slightly differ from yours. I see it clearly because that's who I used to be. I know you're smart but you should be more open to humanity and willing to help people understand the message you are trying to send instead of insulting them, it's more effective and that's the truth. Also, I'm substance free because they're overrated.

What this guy said, you really have to ask, in the age of arrogance, is the message more important than the meaning? Concept is ruling content these days, you could turn your back on it, but I still think that is a mistake. It's about effectively communicating.

Well, a long and silent observation of just one or two of my posts, then, because you couldn't be further from the truth. I only insult back, so if you don't like being insulted, you know what not to do. As for being substance-free, so you say, so you say, but I sure don't believe you. I seldom digress from the topic to become personal the way you do. I will correct other people's grammatical and spelling errors, with a smile, and most people don't mind but appreciate it because it is a learning experience. So, quit digressing from the topic at hand and attacking people personally. You know fuck all about me and are in no position to judge me - what you did in fact do was projection of your own flaws.

This is Music . It has no lyric . It is a heroic feeling . Music is feeling . Anyway , i thought it was probably the right amount of time , the right intensity and spirit . Not a bad pairing . What music would you have it be ? You make videos , ( and good ones if i recall ) there are a few things to consider . Unless you want to write music for it ... The message i liked . Even if William Tell was Hitler , then still , its good music , let it be used for good ! I am sorry it upset you . I always wondered the music Beethoven wrote in tribute of Napoleon might have sounded like . Too bad he burned it up , when Napoleon declared himself Emperor .

Sure, it has no lyrics, but it has a title. The association of that music which has a name with fascism is deeply offensive for all the Swiss people. As ThatCrazyLibertarian rightly said, a piece by Wagner - whose thinking was very close to Hitler's - would have been appropriate. Using the William Tell overture is not.

Well, I think that time has come upon us. The signing of the NDAA bill, and the beating up of the Occupiers, whenever they come out, has proven that we have now become a Fascist Police State. Our freedom of speech and assembly is gone, and it's only a matter of time before we are occupied by the US Army. That will be the end of the USA.
