Wikipedia will go dark for a planned blackout on Wednesday, January 18 in protest of SOPA and PIPA, the proposed anti-piracy laws in the US. In a press release, Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and the sixth most visited site in the world, announced its decision to black out the English-language Wikipedia for 24 hours, worldwide.
