What If the World Held Hands?

With a cup of coffee in hand, I stared out my kitchen window, watching the first real snowfall of the year. It seemed quiet and I decided not to put on any music or look for a distraction this morning.

I watched the snow collect on top of the swimming pool. I thought of the summer nights — swimming, back floating, staring up at the sky, the full moon, imagining the stars were brighter than they were, disguised by the city lights, faint and faltering. Searching for my favorite constellations, Orion, the three starts in his belt.
