No progressive would support Ron Paul because Paul is a liar, a racist, an antisemite, a homophobe, and a bigot.
In addition, Ron Paul is a Christian extremist that does not believe in the separation of church and state, and does not believe in a women's right to reproductive freedom.
Further, while Paul objects to the federal war on drugs, he would have no problem with an individual state handing out life sentences for a joint. He doesn't care if you get thrown in jail for spitting on the sidewalk, as long as it is the state, and not the Feds, doing it.
