Should Virginia-run liquor stores get into the marijuana business? At least one local lawmaker thinks the idea is worth exploring. Delegate David Englin (D-45th) is calling for a study to look at the potential cost- benefits. Liquor sales generated millions for the commonwealth. If the measure is approved, the public would be able to purchase pot at liquor stores operated by Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control stores (ABC stores.) Englin said the government has been able to manage liquor sales. He points out the same could be possible with marijuana.
