Religious Reich is always afraid of Scientific thought because they are unwilling or unable to use reasoning.
as one of them might say,
"How do you know that 1 + 1 actually equals 2?"
"7a(6b) is not 42ab."
"Since there is no gravity in space, there is no gravity on the moon."
"The tide comes in, the tide goes out."

I have come to the conclusion that some people do not trust science because they do not understand it. This video is using the ignorance of people to attack science. This is a very dangerous video. Also big business is using the religious right to be able to make more profit (at the expense of more cancers/health problems/ environmental destruction). Unregulated greed kills. Fortunately some progress is being made with evil companies like Monsanto. Organic farmers are starting to change things with their class action law suites. I am not against GMO when applied with thorough science but using it as a experiment in our food is a bad idea. Big business/big money is also abusing science by funding their selfish agenda. University research is a buffer to this, example when a university found out that a common weed killer, killed amphibians with low doses (we have to be careful not to cut education). That study I sent a while ago on Organic farming was encouraging. Organic farming beats large scale farming and without the petro chemicals. Good news. Getting rid of all pesticides/weed killers would be a good thing for our planet. Tax the bad at the source so we don't deplete/destroy. Don't tax the good. Unfortunately jobs are not coming back in the long run. More automation/more people, equals less jobs. Cutting the work week will help. When quntam computing happens, then semi intelligent robots that replace grunt jobs, will surly happen. This is really not a bad thing, unless greed is still rampant and the rich do not share. We should not sacrifice the QUALITY of LIFE for profit.
A pure robotic society could be a benefit to man and our planet. Our time would be spent learning, understanding, creating; not buying and selling stuff. The food and stuff we need would be produced by the robots, the ant workers that do the jobs that humans don't want to do ( of course some humans will also do this for fun and to help in the science and understanding of the robot workers). Wars will be obsolete because of their destructive and polluting nature. I think we can keep from killing ourselves with greed, I am optimistic about our long term future. - 4 months ago
