Even though Zena was soooooo 90s, I didn't have cable or later
satelite Dish TV subscriptions then, so I watched nearly every
episode of Zena and Hercules that I could. I liked the aspects
of Mythology they salted into both series. I still have all the 1994
made for TV movies about Hercules here, there, and everywhere
in my DVR files. They've even featured Sorbo Sundays on one
of the Encore channels. Both Lucy Lawless and Hudson Leich
were hot. Both starred in one episode featuring Melinda Clark
a super hot redhead who always steals the scenes. Even though
the acting was cult campy it was always a hoot. Hudson must be
the life of the party wherever she goes. Not only is she sizzeling
hot attractive and well built but those facial expressions and risqe
outfits denote a mischievous character that makes her a real live wire. - 4 months ago

Meaning this in a good way, you're words are the stuff of comedy at times
as you're a natural foil for comedians. So, please, chuckle along with us.

Rene O' Conner might well be thinking to herself in those deep dark recesses
of the human mind: " Who got da Funk ? Gotta get some Spunk ! UGGHH ! :
Good girls go home. Bad girls go everywhere. Heh. I once saw her on Conan
I think. She did a stunt by flipping him over her back- slowly & carefully
-of course. Unknown whether they rehearsed it first behind the scenes to
minimize their insurance carrier's risk. But she did that very responsibly.
She did play the ideal sidekick for Zena as a female Pancho & Sisco
action/adventure team. And Ted Raimi, the brother of Sam Raimi, one
of the producers played a natural comic fuck up. They called him Jocsur.
I nicknamed him Jockstrap. You know like the Simpsons calling up their
dad, Homer Simson's bartender, and setting him for a prank: " Is there
a Jock Stap in da house ? Call for Jock Strap ! OOOOOHHHH dose kids ! - 4 months ago

remanns:
JOCKSTRAP !!! Er, I mean Jocsur. From the profile of all Hudson's poses
you've illustrated, Remanns, it's clear the producers chose all the main
players in Zena & Hercules because they all had a great sense of humor
to such a degree the producers knew they'd function as natural comedians
to give some comic relief to pause the intense drama of both series, Zena
especialy because Kevin Sorbo is such a non agressive fellow that Lucy
Lawless Aries character played the contrast to Kevin's well liked all around
nice guy immage as a demiGod.The few episodes that realy stand out aren't the ones where they're here,
there, and everywhere in every culture of the ancient world. But rather
when Sam Raimi and his collegue took time out to recast all the main
players in their modern Hollywood Down Under New Zealand episodes,
as sort of a behind the scenes comic relief set of episodes set in the
modern day. You recall them. It was when instead of wearing ancient
leather straps, and vests, they wore modern leather jackets with zippers,
Business suits, instead of the toga party get up, and Hawaian shirts. They recast Aeolus ( name for God of Wind from the Oddessy ), and
Calisto ( name of the virgin nymph who hunted with the Godess Artemis)
in a radical departure from their usual good guy-bad gal immages. In these
modern episodes the alter ego of Aeolus was recast as a sleezy, horny,
alchy, an inept nervous bungler tripping over his own feet but always if
I recall correctly chasing after Calisto now recast as the prim & proper
secretary exuding nothing but virtue. Between the New Zealand accents
of the auxiliary cast of characters, their use of telephones, modern offices,
tropical palm trees, and especialy Bruce Campbell restraining his natural
humor for effect, all this recasting the characters' alter egos worked wonders.
