    • I'm a supporter of the Occupy movement, AND I am a resident of the Bay Area. The Oakland protesters resorted to violence and destruction of property, so it is no surprise that the Police used tear gas and flash bangs. The Oakland movement is making the National movement look terrible!

    • An ugly episode in an ongoing struggle. There will be more. We owe them thanks for taking the heat for the rest of us. Occupy.

    • I give them credit for trying....

      But I'm out of good ideas myself, the government, and goon squads are perfectly okay with treating us like enemy combatants...

      First off we're all monitored through these;

      http://publicintelligence.net/fusion-centers/

      (not to mention the pentagon, NSA, whomever, monitoring some of us from somewhere for the government.)

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fusion_center

      (^^^^ is just the definition^^^^ of "Fusion Center")

      And they have these here;

      http://current.com/shows/max-and-jason-still-up/90599207_google-map-of-fema-conc...

      For whatever the purposes the FEMA camps are real, and a little unnerving....

      And if that weren't enough, we have an EXCESS of prisons, we have a higher per capita percentage of prisons than ever;

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_state_prisons

      Go state by state for a minute, it's already obscene and the infrastructure is there....

      And even if that does cover a good half or more of the places, they might get bored and decide to keep us in, obviously use to intimidate us with.... I'm certain that's not near half on how, and where they keep track of us at or from.....

      So how do you put a stop to the madness....? Good question, but I'm losing faith in "occupying" the vast majority of public places, and am truly stumped.....

    • occupy must stay non violent...it is the only way to share intent with those that still don't understand completely. We have to overwhelm with numbers not guns.

    • I stopped going my local occupation for the exact reason that I know many others are not. Staying peaceful in this kind of environment where our civil liberties are shattered to dust and ruin cannot be allowed to continue and the nazis (police) cannot be looked upon as friendlies when they are 'just following orders'.
