Who Is Mitt Romney? « Pissed on Politics
Posted by PoliShifter on 31 January 2012, 10:56 am
Just who is Willard Mitt Romney and what kind of President would he make? To figure this out we just need to listen to what Mitt says he likes and have a basic understanding of where he came from.
We know Mitt’s father George Romeny was CEO of AMC as well as Governor of Michigan. George Romney was born in Mexico. Does that make Mitt Romney an Anchor Baby? Is Mitt Romney a U.S. Citizen by birth only? If birth right citizenship were revoked the way so many tea bagged freaks on the right want to get rid of it would Mitt have to be deported?
As for what kind of President Mitt would make I think you just have to listen to what he says. He tells us what he likes to do. He likes to fire people. He loves buying up companies, firing everyone, and shipping jobs overseas. He likes keeping his taxes as low as possible. While Mitt decries “European Socialism” and slams Obama for “Europeanization” Mitt does love European banks, particularly Swiss Banks.
We know Mitt thinks corporations are people and money is speech.
We know Mitt has been a life long dedicated Mormon.
We know Mitt will do and say anything to get elected. He was at one time a progressive Governor of Massachusetts in favor of government run healthcare. Now he wants to repeal Obamacare which was modeled after his Romneycare. We know Mitt has no core values. We know Mitt has no conviction.
We know Mitt is a salesperson and will tailor his message in whatever way pleases the customer most.
Suffice to say if Mitt were to become President my guess is he would continue to do the things he loves. He would make it easier to move jobs and factories off shore through free trade agreements like NAFTA, CAFTA, and GAT. Mitt would work tirelessly to ensure he pays little or no taxes on investment income. Mitt would also work to pass even more legislation ensuring Corporations do not lose their personhood.
Is that the kind of President you want?

Good post kenny. Would I want The Mighty Morman as president....NO! The only role I see Romney in is that of a used car salesman and you would have to ask yourself '' Would I buy a used car from this guy? '' No I would not, he seems too slick and slippery.

"Who Is Mitt Romney?" Easy. He's a 1%er. Born with a silver spoon in his mouth.

"We know Mitt is a salesperson and will tailor his message in whatever way pleases the customer most."
So in other words, he's a politician, and a bought and paid for shill.
In my opinion, Romney is just Obama but with less melanin.
I would agree that if Romney were a liberal progressive, the media would definitely highlight fact that his father was born in Mexico.
But since the media is playing along and not highlighting this just proves that the media are willing to invent scandals and non-issues to suit certain audiences.

Lets's compare Obama's promises to his actions too while we're at it.

You're not allowed to here. You're not allowed to be objective. To me, whether it's Mitt Romney or Barack Obama, in an election year the MO is all the same: say and promise anything to win all the while knowing that once you do you can basically blow the people you made promises to off and they'll let you get away with it. You can even sign bills taking away their basic freedoms and it's OK just as long as you're the right party.

Now, who didn't allow you to say that? You just did, did you not? And since you did, and it's a public statement, anyone here may feel free to counter your comment if they like. It won't be me ,since you say the same thing over and over and over ad nauseum, and I know when to stop banging my head against brick walls. But to whine about how your not "allowed" ?
That's just plain childish. - 4 months ago

Great story there Kenny. although I would hazzard a guess that most of the Tea Party would gladly revoke his citizenship if that meant getting rid of obama too.
We know Mitt will do and say anything to get elected...........yeah so would any of them whats the point of that line?
To answer the question and the end. NO, if that was the kind of pres I wanted I would just vote for obama.

Just remember when voting for Romney, he's an Arch Bishop of the Mormon Church who answers to the head of that said Church.
