Ron Paul is one of those candidates who says no for a living. As a representative of Texas, Paul has surprisingly voted against quite a few pieces of legislation that would shock mant Americans. Paul has tried to sell himself as a defender of American liberty and freedom, but unfortunatley, his decisions often go against what the people want and need, and against all moral conscience. Considering the seriousness of the problems Americans face, you would think that Paul would say yes more often. But he has voted against so many bills that he was dubbed " Dr.No" by his congressional colleagues in 2007. Here are some of the many bills he voted against.Full List at:

Why is Ron so contrary? Here are my speculations.
Sometimes a stubborn person may have a strong reason for refusing to change his mind but has a reason to hide what he's really thinking. For instance, Maybe Ron secretly feels he is the Messiah of the Confederacy trapped in the body of a congressman supposedly representing the Fourteenth Texas district.
Maybe he wants people to believe in him and see him in his Messianic role. "Stubborn extremism in the cause of Liberty is no vice, sir. (To his great shame General Lee surrendered to the Yankee oppressors). As a true Texan and loyal, son of the South, Ron Paul has never surrendered and will never surrender. He will not give up his gold. He will not give up his fight for Liberty, and he will never surrender the South's honor. I salute you sir. God, save the Confederacy. Wait I mean we've got to preserve the Constitution--what did I say.
He does seem to have a connection and an affection for the Confederacy and the Antebellum way of life. He particularly abhors the year 1913 when the Yankees established the Fed.
Or maybe he's stubborn for one or more of these reasons.
1) Defending his idea: He thinks that if people didn't agree with him then he becomes unimportant!! He identifies himself with his ideas and feels that his identity is threatened when people don't believe them
2)Feeling that people are taking his opinion for granted: Some people tend to think that others take their opinion for granted and so they try to hold on to opposing opinions just to force others to pay attention to their opinion.
Or maybe he's just stubborn by nature and would resist change regardless of the situation.

Anyway, I tend to agree with 'The Wanderer' -- haven't we had more than enough ronnie p articles? But then again, if it takes more articles to convince the paulomatons to wake up and smell the coffee I'm all for that b/c the last thing I want is to wake up Nov. 7 to 'President Paul' ~~shudders at the thought~~ And finally, every article I have read teaches me something more about him that proves what a truly horrible little troll he really is!

Again I will state something we should all know by now. Ron Paul has no, ZERO chance of election. Only roughly one in twenty americans even "consider" voting for him. IF he was to recieve the nod from the GOP chaos would soon ensue as EVERY real teacher in the country would picket, every real labor union would strike, and every real military family would be there to support them. His support comes only from members of the 1%, the racist, the undereducated, self hating gays, and aluminum foil wearing loons! Can we spend time on real topics?

I am going to quote Stephen D. Foster Jr. the author of this Op-Ed. None of us could say it better. "Ron Paul would watch America burn as he dismantles the government. He would allow corporations to do whatever they want in a totally unregulated market with zero accountability. He would eliminate the federal agencies that help and protect Americans. He doesn’t care about the middle class. He doesn’t care about kids. And he certainly doesn’t care about the well being of the country. Electing Ron Paul to the Presidency would be one of the biggest mistakes in the history of American elections. You can bet that what he does as President will mirror his long career in the House of Representatives. Ron Paul is not the man Americans need to occupy the White House."
