I disagree. Sanctions only punish the people in hopes to upset them to the point that they overthrow the government. We should mind our business and stay out of it, Israel can hold it's own as Netenyahoo has stated. Sanctions are an act of war like a modern siege warfare. If we keep up sanctions it will be a matter of time before tensions reach a boiling point and when they do it will be Israel that takes the hit for our bullying. Iraq poses no threat to us as they do not have the capability to attack us. If we love Israel we would end foreign aid because we give 7x as much aid to enemies of Israel as we do to Israel. We have armed the entire region and now were like " Man it is violent over there". I wonder fucking why!

Well, to be fair, there are persons in all of the nations involved who want nothing to do with war or the anger fueling it.

Yes, even in Israel. Yes, even in Iran. Yes, even in the U.S., Britain, France, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Saudi Arabia ... the list goes on and on.

It's far too easy and intellectually lazy to brand everyone and anyone caught in the middle of the combatants with the same scorn you apply to the latter. It's only the fact that "everybody" isn't true that keeps these things from blowing up the instant someone gets angry and, in their immature rage, strikes out violently.

Even if Iran gets a nuke, which 16 intelligence agencies admit they aren't even working on, there is no evidence that Iran will attack Israel, who has 200 very real nuclear weapons.

This war is a purely economic war as they all are, but they know that the average teevee watcher was traumatized by those three towers falling and those scary looking Muslims flashed on the screen for years.

There is no "we". Some Americans will see fit to go to war. "They" will go to war. I will not. A good many other Americans also will not because they have no desire for it.

There is no "we". The same is without a doubt true of Iran, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Britain, France, and anyone else getting involved. In those countries also - some will want and will begin a war.

Many will not. Place the blame of war only on those who deserve the blame of war. Those who continue believing there is another way deserve respect.
