What I usually do is a right-click on the photo in the article and open it in a new tab, then I copy the url to the photo in the new tab. After publishing the article on Current, if the photo is fuzzy, I edit and change asset, choosing picture url, paste that url in that box, process, and then submit. I hope that helps. :)

The car companies are doing well but the city itself is in a fight fo it's life. The City of Detroit is trying to avoid Govenor Rick's emergency manager. Years of businesses moving out of the city, shrinking population, missmanagement of public funds, and other things have caused a financial crisis. The Mayor, City Counsel, and Unions are doing their best to try and avoid it.

Don't forget our tax dollars.

They are doing well because the American taxpayers are footing their bills. I don't get my bills paid by the Federal government.

They were dollars well spent for Dertoit and the betterment of the country, and they are all paid back.

Bullshit they were all paid back. They were spent for the betterment of Detroit, I agree, and for the betterment of the UAW. But I live in a right to work state with Toyota and Nissan factories, they didn't take bailouts, and no one lost their job, believe me, we got no betterment at all from it, just the bill.

Toyota is a foreign company and they weren't in financial trouble. That's the reason they move south, so they can screw their employees.

I understand that too. Businesses that huge that also caused so much unemployment and hard times for people shouldn't be rewarded for it just to pad a politician's resume. Unfortunately, it was the people they hurt who were suffering and they knew that. They are no saints. I have no love for the auto companies believe me. They too have manipulated this government for their own benefit for years. Hopefully they learned a lesson and that won't be happenning again.

I know. That was my point below. Who caused all of this? The companies that went bankrupt and laid off people and shut down factories there in the first place. What I meant was actually geared towards the spirit of the people of Detroit. Urban farming is making some headway there and they are determined to save their city. Their water was also privitized with exhorbitant prices being charged in taking advantage of their situation and they fought that too ( you never hear about that though.) I give them a lot of credit.

GM was thinking of pulling its headquarters out of Detroit but it was suggested that it might not be a good thing to do. Detroit is just in deep financial shit right now.

The government still owns stock in both companies. Both got huge tax breaks for thier IPOs. Where do you get this idea it's been paid back when we still have an ownership stake? And why are the workers in one state more important than ones in another? What business is it of government to decide winners and losers in the market with our tax dollars? This is what I am talking about when I say they need to get out of our lives.
