Bradley Manning for Nobel Peace Prize!!!

Anonmaly
The name of Private Bradley Manning - a U.S. soldier accused of passing classified material to the whistle blowing website Wikileaks has consistently made it into the headlines, mostly in connection with his trial. But now his name is now on a different list - that of over 200 nominees for the Nobel Peace Prize. His nomination was put forward by the parliamentary group called "The Movement" in the Icelandic Parliament. One of its members Birgitta Yonsdottir says Manning deserves the nomination because it's not a crime to blogger-whistle on war-crimes.

For those community members still open minded enough to want to
know the truth documented by Historical facts verified by bona fide
sources, Current.com TV has aired a documentary from 2/14/2011
entitled: Wikeleaks, War Lies, and Videotape. You realy should check
it out, especialy if you presume you don't need to know anything on
the subject. It shows Bradley Manning's motivation to expose the war
crimes recorded during the fog of war in Iraq. There are some very
distasteful exhibitions of raw ugly hate in this documentary. Between
that and the hypocrisy of the military, the politicians, and right wing
pundits, it should be enough to make you nauseous. Still, it shows
the stark contrast between the mind controlled trash on all levels
in the USA who foment war because, in plain English, they have a
disease for which their death is the only cure. It wouldn't phase the
Patriot they called Benjamin Franklin either. He once commented
that too many die at 25, but aren't buried until they reach 75. The
idea of Peace despite the warmongering does deserve the Nobel Prize.
Alfred Nobel isn't around today to address the issue from the horses
mouth, but he started his philanthropy because he was horrified that
his inventions of dynamite and TNT were being exploited for warfare
rather than to clear roads, and passes for transportation. For that, he
wanted to award his honor to humans fit to be called humans despite
the throwback of our reptile brain stem. Imho, Brad Manning IS worthy.
Even if you think he's tilting at windmills.

    • He didnt read 250k plus documents, he didn't know what was on them, he didnt know if it would be a good thing or start a world war and because he didnt know how can be be a peace prize winner, it was only dumb luck that those documents did not cause more harm. If he knew what he was doing then he would deserve it, nobody deserves a prize for gambling with peoples lives. Don't get me wrong im glad with the results of the action, but i don't think he deserves awards for it.

It wasn't sarcasm, the man is a traitor and a coward. If he doesn't get the death penalty, and they put him in a general population prison, he will get killed. He is as far from a hero as you can get.

And if you think as he does, maybe you should go to Syria or Yemen to live. Total fuckin' lack of appreciation for what this country has done for you, assuming you live here. And fuck Newt, too, all the politicians are corrupt, it doesn't matter which side.

I'm not advocating violent crime, I just think he deserves the death penalty. Hate speech? Did I call him any racial, sexually disoriented, or any other so-called hate speech? No, he is a traitor, if he had such an issue with being in the military that he would spread this shit and get our people killed, he should not have enlisted, it's all voluntary, you know. And he did get people killed.

Let me ask you something. Do you have any friends, relatives, or any one else in the military? What if this asshole got them killed? But you don't see that do you.

The USA hasn't been involved in a non voluntary war since the 1941-1953 time
period. Yet they drafted people to feed them to the Vietnam slaughter ; they've
still insist on compelling people to register for a draft. Apparently, it's you who
can't see the other side of their aggression. My dad & all his high school class
never had to be drafted. On Dec 8, 1941 they enlisted outside the post office
in our home town. My uncle died on June 21, 1944 in Normandy as part of the
defense force in the national emergency of WW2 to liberate France & Europe.
from Fascism. Unfortunately, Americans never learned that it was Corporations
in Germany, Italy, Japan who fused with their Governments to invade & steal
others' real estate. Americans have allowed them to do that here; are exactly
as blind in allowing them to continue their aggression. Now there are more
suicides in the military ranks than ever in History. The CIA has controlled and
censored the Free Press since it's inception in 1947. Bradley Manning is a
hero for wanting to expose the evils of what's being covered up to manipulate
public opinion formed through CIA/Corporate TV mass mind control. We don't
want the USA twisted by the cross of the war without end TV surveilance culture.
It's UnAmerican. Too bad you can't see THAT, can you ?

    • Well it's not like the Nobel Peace Prize means very much anymore. I think the main qualification is that you are not George Bush. That's the only reason I can imagine that they gave it to Barack Obama.

    • Manning may have inadvertently became a serious force to push for indigenous rights.....

It's good to know our government still seeks to undermine and control these peoples... Maybe we can collectively turn the heat on the government and make a difference...?

    • Censored News is now posting the Wikileaks US diplomatic cables from Quebec and Montreal, about Mohawks. The border, land claims and struggles are among the issues. Five cables have been posted so far in Censored News Special edition.

In a cable dated July 30, 2009, from Ottawa, the US Ambassador said, "The CBSA customs post on Cornwall Island (Kawehnoke) located on the Mohawk reserve territory of Akwesasne on the Canada-U.S. border closed on May 31. Canadian border guards had left the post citing fears of a violent confrontation with Mohawk residents, who opposed a CBSA directive requiring border guards to carry firearms at the Canadian port-of-entry, effective June 1."
