    • The ows idiots have so alienated people that they are not even welcome in Oakland anymore. It is one thing to exercise your rights but there are responsibilities that go along with them. I don't believe this has anything to do with rights anymore.

      I do not like the implications of this statement. Human beings are human beings. I can't blame people for standing up for their rights in the face of tyranny no matter where they live. Americans are not special in any way... except the capacity to which we allow our media to dictate not only our reality for us but the perception and interpretation of that reality as well. That's pretty special, but not in a good way.

    • Is it a negative commentary on the long ruling Corporatocracy or on private citizens compelled to the assertion of their rights in public, that no progress on civil liberties or justice has ever been achieved in this country without the issue first coming to blows? Personally, I am in awe of the People's patience with their government, their good and gentle nature, and their belief in the good intentions of others wastefully shown to date. Perhaps if the People were habitually less trusting, less patient and more demanding, their government would not have helped the Corporate Right steal all of their money as they have.
