As the attacks against Iraq and Libya have proven, the purpose of Western interventions is not to safeguard civilian populations, but to establish regimes that are friendly to the economic interests of the United States, and compatible with Israel’s geopolitical ambitions. By opposing the very principle of foreign intervention in Syria, the BRICS nations are defying the world vision defended by the Western powers and their media, but not the Law, nor Justice.
