Pope says child porn ’normal’ back in the 70s

In his traditional Christmas address to cardinals and officials working in Rome, Pope Benedict XVI also claimed that child pornography was increasingly considered “normal” by society.
“In the 1970s, paedophilia was theorised as something fully in conformity with man and even with children,” the Pope said.
“It was maintained — even within the realm of Catholic theology — that there is no such thing as evil in itself or good in itself. There is only a ‘better than’ and a ‘worse than’. Nothing is good or bad in itself.”
The Pope said abuse revelations in 2010 reached “an unimaginable dimension” which brought “humiliation” on the Church.
Asking how abuse exploded within the Church, the Pontiff called on senior clerics “to repair as much as possible the injustices that occurred” and to help victims heal through a better presentation of the Christian message.
“We cannot remain silent about the context of these times in which these events have come to light,” he said, citing the growth of child pornography “that seems in some way to be considered more and more normal by society” he said.
But outraged Dublin victim Andrew Madden last night insisted that child abuse was not considered normal in the company he kept.
Mr Madden accused the Pope of not knowing that child pornography was the viewing of images of children being sexually abused, and should be named as such.
He said: “That is not normal. I don’t know what company the Pope has been keeping for the past 50 years.”...

Pope Benedict has been a staunch defender of child abuse and exploitation. His early years as a Nazi really made quite an impression on his mind. He is the Devil incarnate.

True, but the Pope is a flesh & blood human being too, and unlike the Devil his butt can be kicked all over the soccer field. Unfortunately there's nobody around to push a missile launch button with his name on it.
So we're stuck [& so are the parishioner's children] into the indefinite future. That's life man. The bad people tend to win. Get used to it. The children in Vietnam got used to it so we can too. Eat the decayed radiation papal cake already.

You do recall we're not supposed to have close dealings with other religions, right? Well, I broke with that guideline & e-mailed Back & Forth to a Catholic priest for over 4 years to find out what their teachings really are.
His smugness and looking down his nose at me was a stifling stench of ATTITUDE but I persevered til finally I found out from his own words they don't believe the entire Bible.
The Roman Catholic Church is the biggest fraud church on the planet.; They have twisted & contorted scripture into a veritable pretzel to reach the point they are today => STUFFED WITH GOLD, not stuffed with God.
One reason they tout how many members they have to be close to a billion is done by baptizing infants & young children. They've padded their rolls with the young just the same way politicians pull dead people from the grave to cast ballots.

“It was maintained — even within the realm of Catholic theology — that there is no such thing as evil in itself or good in itself. There is only a ‘better than’ and a ‘worse than’. This man is a politician looking to save his party, nothing more. He has no holiness in him, he has no humility, he has no humanity, all he has is halfassed "appologetic explainations" without any apologies or even real explainations!

The poor old guy was just confused! What he MEANT was, nobody seemed to care priests were having sex with little boys much before the centuries-old practice came to public notice in the early 70's. Evidently, it's the one method of birth control the Church has always practiced....

Read the book of Revelation it isn't that large a read. Substitute the "Catholic Church" everywhere you encounter the word "whore". It makes real good sense once ya do that!
Just don't forget the Protestants. They're in that too.

Ok, this just shows how out of touch these religions are. Catholasism is one of the worst offenders. Don't use birth control because it's a sin but, we didn't really see anything that said having sex with children is wrong.
Also, they constantly say that public attitudes have no bearing on church doctrine. Really? Why would the Pope mention that this was more acceptable to the public in the 70's. Thought what the flock thought had no effect. Doctrne is doctrine, people can't change the rules, right?

I suggest everyone watches that docu even if they don't think they have the stomach/heart to bear it. The truth will set us all free, but not before it makes us shake with rage, balk in horror, and vomit in rejection of what we must learn.

"The Pope said abuse revelations in 2010 reached “an unimaginable dimension” which brought “humiliation” on the Church."
The church of Rome and all the others that it spawned are SUPPOSED to be humble. Clerics with long dresses sitting on golden thrones, with fleets of limos, private jets, and vast treasuries, completely contradict the idea of being a humble shepherd tending the flock. The church is a prime example of the corruption that comes with excessive power. The church has not been humiliated enough to cure the cancer within it.

The Pope is a Bible theologian & scholar! He re-writes history, re-writes the Bible. God does not dwell in Mr. Benedict. That is why he has to cut Peace deals with politicians => he likes his bacon on a cold stove.
He also was the first man off the Titanic wearing a dress. hahaha None on the lifeboat would argue WITH A FACE LIKE RAT OOPS THAT.
The best way to help those victims of priestly services contend with their resulting PTSD is to settle low then come back a few years later and claim to the news wires it was normal. He's a walking regurgitated vomit.
Ch. 18 of Revelation tells his fate, soon to come.
