AJE (al-Jazeera English) has a larger presence in Southeast Asia. I found their story because I was looking into Southeast Asia. To be fair the NY Times ran their story the following day after AJE.

Hey dirtman, no offense meant my friend. I look at AlJazerra myself. As a source, they leave much to be desired. But if you're looking for the opposition viewpoint, that's the way to go. Rare to use them other than current events. Expect my attitude would make them angry.

we are finally starting to realize we aren't the only intelligent species on Earth. Whales and Elephants can talk to each other over distances through long wave lengths we can't hear and haven't until recently realized could even be. Think our changing the frequencies broadcast around the globe doesn't affect anything but our ability to pick up a signal with our cellphone? We are all too disconnected from ourselves and our home and our imposition is affecting all on levels we are still trying to grasp.

Just one of many animals that communicate in ways we never understood. Hopefully we will learn more as this research continues...
They've probably been talking smack on us behind our back, or in this case right under our noses!
