Samuel L. Jackson “I Voted for Obama BECAUSE HE’S BLACK”

Barack Obama's politics meant nothing to Samuel L. Jackson because the "Pulp Fiction" star only voted for the president for one reason and one reason only ... because he's black.

In an interview with Ebony magazine, Jackson explained, "I voted for Barack because he was black. 'Cuz that's why other folks vote for other people — because they look like them ... That's American politics, pure and simple. [Obama's] message didn't mean [bleep] to me."

Jackson then went on to drop the N-word several times when discussing Obama, telling the mag, "When it comes down to it, they wouldn't have elected a [bleep]. Because, what's a [bleep]? A [bleep] is scary. Obama ain't scary at all. [Bleeps] don't have beers at the White House. [Bleeps] don't let some white dude, while you in the middle of a speech, call [him] a liar. A [bleep] would have stopped the meeting right there and said, ‘Who the [bleep] said that?' I hope Obama gets scary in the next four years, 'cuz he ain't gotta worry about getting re-elected."

Smacks of ... Obama needs to Black it up.

    • Samuel L. Jackson is a good actor. I take what he says with a grain of salt. I suppose if you want to try to make a point about something, you will find someone out here who will give you what you wanted to see, read or hear.

"I guess the worst day I have had was when I had to stand up in rehab in front of my wife and daughter and say 'Hi, my name is Sam and I am an addict."
      Samuel L. Jackson

"I can`t say to myself, `I haven`t had a drink in 15 years, I could have a glass of champagne and be OK`. That might be true, but history says when I opened that bottle of champagne, I sat there and drank it until it was gone. People who`ve been through what I went through are always going to be tempted. I enjoyed drinking and I enjoyed taking drugs. But I have to remind myself every day that I can`t have a drink." Samuel L. Jackson

I don't think the the current President who is of mixed race has one bit of responsibility for the color of his skin or an actor who says what Samuel said. C'est la vie.

    • I voted for Obama because his skin tone is comprised of slightly more ochre than Tiger Woods. ( But you might want to poll the portrait painters, their opinions might differ )

as an aside -you might just want to vote for Tiger ;he has more testosterone.

    • I'm not surpised that this happened at all. There were many white people who voted for McCain/Palin because they were white. But I was not one of them.

    • A lot of every ethnic groups voted for him, that's how he became president. His Blackness is what has bought out all of this blatant racism from under the rocks where they reside, not that there wasn't racism before.Look at the klan mentality that's campaigning in the rethugs party now.I voted for him because it was time for Bush to go.Bo,Obamas dog would have gotten my vote if he were running.Bush and his crooked cronies stole his last one.

    • Honestly, given the history of this country, it's a totally forgivable emotion.

Besides, who the fuck else were you going to vote for, John McCain?

I meant in the general election.

      Still though, same problem.

If you're black, and for the first time in fucking history your race is being represented on the national stage, that's a pretty hard emotion to deny over Clinton's wife.

    • I understand what he was getting at, but geez, what a top rate moron. I mean it's not like we thought we were electing Wesley Snipes as leader of the free world.

I remember making a joke where I said Obama should have broken straight into "JJ from Good Times" during his innauguration speech.
