I can see a few million counterfiet bonds but... how did this get done without institutional complicity?
After the news broke a massive wave of resignations from some of the largest banks; including a reminder from the world bank that it's CEO will be ending his tenure this june http://business.time.com/2012/02/15/world-bank-president-zoellick-resigns/#ixzz1... ,

...all resigned this week citing a variety of reasons.
The resignations are significant because they are some of the very engineer's of the financial/ ecconomic section of the 'Elite' structure. It is true the major players are still freely walking the planet but are the 'Elite' losing their grip or just making a shift to deal with the latest 6 trillion dollar smudg on 'them'; as 'they' demand 'austerity'?
Not like i would know, what do you think?

Some court reporters picked it up and did a nice summary of the case.
I started a new thread on topic here.

Pretty much. According to the complaint between 1927 and 1938, as a result of arrangements
made between China and the United States, the United States purchased some 50
million ounces of silver and leased vast amounts of gold from the Nationalist Chinese
Government, known as Kuomintang. During this period there was a civil war in China as well as the Japanese invasion. The Kuomintang gave their gold and silver to the U.S. for safekeeping because they were afraid the Japanese would take it. And they got certificates in return. The U.S. subsequently leased the gold to the federal reserve, a separate entity. The federal Reserve used the gold to issue a series of notes/bonds. The ones at issue in this case are from a 1934 issuance as well as some Kennedy bonds. The 1934 ones are bearer paper and redeemable in gold.According to the complaint the Financial instruments where in possession of Mr. Yamaguchi and Mr. Watanabe who as agents of the Dragon family were transporting them to Switzerland bank when they were stopped and the Financial instruments where seized at the border by Italian officials.
Apparently, former Italian Prime minister BERLUSCONI (who is a defendant in the law suit also) tried to cash the stolen financial instruments with the Vatican Banker DAL BOSCO (another defendant in this case).

I'll do a thread and try and summarize as much as I can. The complaint is 111 eleven pages long.

They are probably real. Why would you make counterfeit bonds in such high and obviously strange denominations? What financial institution wouldn't think they were fake? Why would the owner of the confiscated "fake" bonds go through the effort to create a "fake" box that the confiscated bonds were stored in. (That is Versailles Treaty Chicago Fed crate from 1934.)
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/why-were-trillions-fake-bonds-held-chicago-fed-cra...More importantly why would the international owner of these confiscated alleged "fake" bonds come forward and file a lawsuit in the Southern District of New York asking for the return of "fake" bonds. That's a lot of effort and bravado. That's like filing a lawsuit asking the government to return 100 kilos of cocaine they confiscated from you.
(If you read the complaint filed in the SDNY you get the full story of the origin of these bonds... A REAL eye opener! The complaint was filed on 11/23/11.
The Case number is # 2011-cv-8500. If you live Near the Federal Court house in the Southern District of New York you should get a copy of the Complaint. All 111 pages of it.
Or if you sign up for pacer.gov you can get a copy of the complaint.
The case name is KEENAN v. BOSCO ET AL.
Among other things, The complaint alleges an international conspiracy to defraud KEENAN and convert (i) Two-Hundred Forty-nine (249) United States 1934 Series Federal Reserve Notes each with a face value of $500 Million ($500,000,000.00) United States Dollars in the total amount of One Hundred Twenty-Four Billion Five-Hundred Million United States Dollars and (ii) One (1) United States Kennedy Bond with a face value of One (1) Billion United States Dollars, bearing registration number APII 024068 A issued by the U.S. Federal Reserve and/or the U.S. Treasury Department to the Dragon Family in exchange for the Dragon Family's extensive gold and other precious metal deposits, which were then placed in the U.S. Federal Reserve System for the benefit and underwriting support of the United States Dollar, which was to become and currently remains the global reserve currency.)
The law firm representing the Plaintiff is: Bleakley Platt & Schmidt, LLP.

More:
"This is a civil claim arising out of the concerted, knowing, malicious scheme and international conspiracy engaged in by the Defendants for the designed purpose of defrauding plaintiff KEENAN, the designated Agent of his Principal, the “Dragon Family,” for the express purpose of expropriating, stealing and converting certain negotiable financial instruments lawfully owned by the Dragon Family and entrusted to KEENAN in early 2009. These assets (hereinafter referred to as the “Dragon Family Financial Instruments” or the “DFFI”) had been intended for participation in select, registered and authorized Private Placement Investment Programs (or “PPPs”) for the benefit of a wide range of global humanitarian purposes. At the time of the criminal and deceitful acts of the Defendants, the approximate face value of the stolen DFFI was One Hundred Forty-Five and One Half Billion ($145,500,000,000.00) United States Dollars with an approximate accrued interest value of One Trillion ($1,000,000,000,000.00) United States Dollars."

They were probably copies of the 100 million dollar bonds that the US issues countries. That would actually be a pretty small box: only 10k of them. Only crappy thing about those is you have to get them traded in for real dollars from banks which isn't going to happen on a 1:1 bases. Last 1 I saw get traded was about 74 million for the 100 mil note. Nice to keep an organisation like the mafia going for some time i suppose.

Although this CNN article states that it cannot independently verify the story, Bloomberg has put out their own story with more details. The Telegraph UK identifies "Operation Vulcanica" as the investigation.
How much more is there in fake bonds that are being used to slowly drain the Treasury?
