The Democratic Party of Wisconsin blasted oil billionaire David Koch on Monday for supporting Republican Gov. Scott Walker in his fight against public unions.
“I think I speak for most Wisconsinites when I say to David Koch, ‘Get out of Wisconsin and take Scott Walker’s dangerous agenda with you,’” Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate said.
In a rare interview with the Palm Beach Post, Koch described Walker as “impressive” and “courageous.” He said his conservative group Americans for Prosperity was hard at work in Wisconsin.
“We’ve spent a lot of money in Wisconsin,” Koch said. “We’re going to spend more.”
Walker and Republican lawmakers pushed to curb the collective-bargaining rights of public employees earlier this year, eventually passing the highly controversial legislation using a parliamentary maneuver.
The attack on collective-bargaining rights set off unprecedented recall campaigns against Republican and Democratic Wisconsin state senators. Democrats ended up gaining two seats in the Senate after defeating incumbent Republicans. Walker now faces a recall election himself.
Koch said restricting collective-bargaining rights was “critically important” and warned there would be “no stopping union power” if Walker is ousted from office.
“This disturbing interview shows a man in David Koch who believes that because of his wealth, he should be able to dictate what happens in a place he hopes to convert into a plantation state for his low-wage, low-benefits, no-rights companies. Wisconsin cannot let David Koch or Scott Walker buy Wisconsin and break our middle class,” Tate said.

this is really too good of a song to dedicate to Scott Walker on his way out...but hell, the lyrics work so well....
Weep for yourself, my man,
You'll never be what is in your heart
Weep little lion man,
You're not as brave as you were at the start
Rate yourself and rake yourself,
Take all the courage you have left
Wasted on fixing all the problems that you made in your own headBut it was not your fault but mine
and it was your heart on the line
I really fucked it up this time
Didn't I, my dear? didn't i my dear?Tremble for yourself, my man,
You know that you have seen this all before
Tremble little lion man,
You'll never settle any of your scoreYour grace is wasted in your face,
Your boldness stands alone among the wreck
now learn from your mother or else spend your days biting
your own neckBut it was not your fault but mine
and it was your heart on the line
I really fucked it up this time
didn't I, my dear? But it was not your fault but mine
and it was your heart on the line
I really fucked it up this time
didn't i my dear?

Laws must be passed to take the place of the Supreme Court decision that opened the door for this kind of "Koch-fueled" behavior. The sea of special interest money is beginning to drown us. I hope the Democratic Wisconsinites are successful in their recall effort, so we can move on to kick the rest of the Republican union-bashing flock out in November.

V said in an earlier post that the Wisconsin recall will provide very important data as to our trajectory as a nation. In a lesser way Romney's performance in his home state of Michigan will be hard data - and he's neck and neck with Santorum, with an average (USA Today, 2/12) showing Santorum being 1.5% ahead. Both have shown themselves unfit for the Presidency, though Romney does not have the mental problems Santorum, Gingrich, and Paul have and, having found a good job, Romney did a great job at it (relatively speaking, though the job he did was morally reprehensible), was financially successful and played the game by the rules up to the hilt. But regarding his statements, he's as much a spinning slimeball as Obama.
The nation that this is did a very radical thing in 2008 and elected Obama, in a way venting its rage against Bush and the Republicans. This is excellent data about who's out there and what they really think. So is 2008, when the nation vented its rage against Obama and the Democratic Congress. What the nation did not do is change its mind from radical progressive to elitist conservative.
Everyone - everyone - knows that everyone but the folks on their side are freaks, and most of them understand that most of the folks on their own side are freaks, too. We've been stolen blind by the economic crash and most of us are sinking - including the entire former "middle class." We've seen our nation inflicted with the crimes of the home loan scandle, perverted economic practices like Credit Default Swaps, joblessness, and now, disenfranchisement. No one has the data anymore upon which to base a vote on, and in fact we've evolved into a system that provides us only with clowns or snakeoil salesmen to choose from. It doesn't matter that the press is only covering the claque. The overwhelming majority of folks aren't fooled anymore. Waiting for a tyrant may well be what it will be called years from now. Who knows when it will come? But this is a perfect opportunity - here and now, the Republican choice. Who would it be? That's the only question. The right guy would actually probably stand a good chance of pulling it off. It's not any of the curent candidates. Christie and Jeb are probably way too obviously corrupt charactures, and we should not forget the voters will be the same people who elected Obama. Complicates things. Christie especially could be the ultimate one - it almost looks like he has been chosen by central casting - the New Jersey "man of honor." Neocon thinkers are puzzling endlessly over this right now - rather not give up the opportunity but have to come up with the right man for the job. People are obviously getting into pools right now. It's probably a legitimized game in Vegas by now - a hundred at today's odds on Romney, perhaps. The various billionaires have their bets down. Maybe they're even gaming amongst themselves - maybe that's even what's going on - like football teams, as far as the owners are concerned, they own this or that candidate; and, they are hedging their bets (and hoping for the truly giant payoff) by wagering among themselves in pools? The new sport of kings? In that sense, Obama is the last "independent" candidate, bought in the old fashioned way.

This is the level of arrogant entitlement these rich bastards possess. They feel their money have given them the right to buy people's lives which this campaign to keep Walker in power is all about. They didn't realize just how much money it was going to take to make the whole state a company town with their name all over it. I hope they pull 9 figures worth out of their off-shore bank accounts and still come up empty here to keep their puppet in office. That will piss them off royally.

I tell you scooter, after everything that Wisconsin has been through, primarily because of the [Koch]roaches, and their evil little puppet Walker, If Walker doesn't walk, it will be one of the greatest miscarriages of justice and the will of the people in the history of Wisconsin.
What's additionally disappointing, is that even if Walker gets the firm foot in the ass that he deserves, his "employers" and all those of their ilk, will still be there, behind the scenes, doing everything that they're a vast amounts of money-and power- allow these slime balls to do, it's not enough just for Walker to go, but he and his entourage need to be ridden out on a rail-Literally-and have legislation and or amendments to Wisconsin Constitution, to prevent this kind of thing ever happening in Wisconsin again, it's about time treasonous sub humans such as these be made examples of!

The key part of what's to come is that 4 other Republican State Senators are also being targeted for recall along with Walker and his Lt. Guv. If only one of the 4 get ousted (we are hoping for much better than that) the majority in the state senate swings back to the Dems and any further damage could be blocked until the GOP majority in the Assembly is reversed as well. They've tried their best to gerrymander most of the state to give the advantage to their own, but the courts have stepped in and put the brakes on their very blatant efforts (think Tom DeLay). The political landscape in WI could be much different in just a few months. Russ Feingold is starting to make the rounds on the talk shows in the next couple weeks (The Daily Show tonight and Bill Maher next Friday) so I'm hoping this is signalling his desire to think again about running against this weasel Walker.

I never wish ill of someone but in the Koch brothers case I will make an exemption for those a**holes. To openly tell Wisconsin voters I will buy your state as I have your governor just pi**es me off and I hope the good people of Wisconsin send Walker packing as this does nothing but excite the voters to come out and show him they cannot be bought. I lived in Elmwood, Wisconsin after leaving military service as it was where my wife was from. You cannot ask to meet a harder working people with a true sense of community. They would do anything to help someone out and has left an indelible impression on me. Now to preface my remarks I would be remissed not to divulge that Elmwood is the U.F.O. capital of the world. It has the most reported sightings of U.F.O.'S. I attribute it to all to opem farm land. No crops circles though.....puzzling.
