Michigan government unleashes armed raids on small pig farmers, forces farmer to shoot all his own pigs
I so mad right now .. I just at lost for words.. So if any of you come back supporting this action .. DON"T POST IT JUST WALK AWAY FROM THE KEYS... this was a Slaughter of animals by a government that should be removed at once. the on "Invasive Species" right now i see is the law makers and those who action caused this..
http://www.naturalnews.com/035585_Michigan_farms_raids.html
(NaturalNews) NaturalNews can now confirm that the Michigan Department of Natural Resources has, in total violation of the Fourth Amendment, conducted two armed raids on pig farmers in that state, one in Kalkaska County at Fife Lake and another in Cheboygan County. Staging raids involving six vehicles and ten armed men, DNA conducted unconstitutional, illegal and arguably criminal armed raids on these two farms with the intent of shooting all the farmers' pigs under a bizarre new "Invasive Species Order" (ISO) that has suddenly declared traditional livestock to be an invasive species.

NaturalNews is a terrible news source - they are as bad as InfoWars - totally biased, with an agenda that prevents any kind of objectivity.
The story is that in 2010 Michigan outlawed the raising of non-native feral pigs. Now this may be right or wrong, but it was and is the law.
In 2012 the pig farmer is breaking the law, in the hopes of making a profit off the animals. When the pig farmer is threatened with arrest, he chooses to slaughter the pigs in order to save his own sorry ass.
Hard to feel sorry for someone who knowingly violates the law, and then when the chips are down he just slaughters his animals to save his own sorry ass and then blames the government.
The pigs suffered, but the farmer is the one who put the pigs in danger in the first place, all in order to make a dollar.

These are not Corporations type farms these are small farms with a heritage breed .. none of them suffer in any way..They did not endanger the pig they were trying to protect them and some Corporation is using the laws against them.. Theses are not feral pigs. they just have the look of the feral pigs. But are in no shape or way feral pigs... The law should not be used to attack small farms doing ethical and humane farming. Its not about profits it about feeding their families and others..
The farmer are not just killing to save the ass they doing it because if don't the pigs get killed a far worse way in a mass shoot by the laws enforcement that showed up to make sure the pigs died one way or another. If the farmer didn't care they just let them be shot in the pens in mass. The farmers did it right they took their time and did it as best they could and as humane as they could..The Order was not be arrested and your pigs live and you just go to jail. It was an order that said kill or be arrested and watch your livelihood die in a mass slaughter And they were ready to make them sit and watch the pigs die ..The pigs would have died ether way and the farmers in jail for a long time and the farms left to died out and be lost. so saving yes but not their ass but their way of feeding their family and paying their bills ..
So pigs die due to be descendent of feral pigs. Wow in what world do you live in that is Right? You may hate farmer that raise live stock but you are not the world.. people eat meat.. and big or small these farm are there to feed people.
People Want small local farms they want good meat that isn't from the big farms so what wrong with that? why should these pigs that have been around for 50 to 60 years and more with never a problem be wiped out? If they kill pigs today because they are descendent of feral pigs then shouldn't kill all dogs and Cats as well? After all they are all descendent feral animals then again so is Mankind but were dong great job of hating each other over petty things so we'll wipe out our self's soon enough.
.
Stop being a Animal Rightest for once look at the over all crime here it's not the pig farmers at fault it a misconception of what is feral and what isn't.. Oh and do note how much the media isn't reporting this so the new source isn't that great by what you say but then again it reports what is the truth as much as it can and if you don't like it Then you are just no looking at the over all big picture of what happen when too many of these small farms are lost.. It not just live stock it all the farms that are over all under attacked and that mean Produce and the Free range and all Farms too.. Once this attack left to happen all will be targets all will fall and all you will have ti large faceless mega farms ran by Monsanto types.. - 1 year ago

I saw a video about this on BrasscheckTV. AlterNet talked about this as well. The video was about this family farm in Michigan just minding their own business and wanted to feed and take care of their pigs the natural way. The family I saw on the video seemed so kind and caring and they just wanted to live their lives. They were hasseling the husband with stupid charges and he said he was going to fight the government....and sadly, this is what he got...a bunch of evil thugs and having to shoot all his own pigs. This is a tragedy and a outrage!

And if you watch the Video in the Link you will the AG office had issue an Injunction for any action so the Michigan Department of Natural Resources is in total violation of the AG office adn people are talking forming groups to defend off any of these attack from happening.. Not all farms have been hit as of yet but this pass weekend murdering of the pigs took 4 days .. I sadden beyond words.DNA conducted unconstitutional, illegal and criminal to their actions.
Thanks everyone for you comment please vote up adn share i want this on the NEWS EVERYWHERE I want the Michigan Department of Natural Resources ousted and the people who help get this action done.. - 1 year ago

they make up laws as they go, with no voter represented anywhere in those laws, and then they create criminal behavior....and I'm guessing the logic behind this is the usual...so we can all be safer.

Reminds me of when a heritage breeder of various poultry in Pa was forced to kill all his birds.25 years of careful breeding down the drain. The USDA can't have birds immune to avian flu.
The Mi government is afraid of feral wild boar hogs, which are a serious problem in other states.
In Pa a few hog farmers mostly plain farmers, are raising domesticated hogs in the woods year round. Some of the heritage breeds they are raising are not far from wild boar hogs, and are hybrids from them.
Being able to consume more natural meat, milk is a right in some states, sadly, others not so much.
