PORTLAND, Oregon -- Parents in Oregon are saying 'thank goodness' for protective glass.

A lion at the Oregon Zoo in Portland really wanted to eat this little boy sitting outside the exhibit. The child barely noticed what was happening, but something about him sure got the animal's attention.

Zoo workers say lions often interact with young visitors, and the glass barrier keeps them safe.
