If people would help each other a little bit more, the world would be a better place to be .
And it starts small . Help the beggar on the street to eat tonight . If someone has some room or a shed or something , and its really cold . Offer a homeless person a place to stay . They will be so grateful ! Even if they are not , you helped another human being and that will make him/her better . Of course you need to be careful ! Don't be stupid about this and let them take you for a ride ! But in 99.9 % of the cases they will be grateful and wont be a problem .
It is a absolute shame what is happening in the state's with al the foreclosure's and evictions of people . And let's face it ; It's always the lower end who get the short end of the stick !
I for one , am very glad that i don't live in the state's . The humanity has left America in a hurry ! Compassion and basic needs is what people need now .And the U.S government should help the people, not the banks !

You've overlooked the real danger on the court, which are its conservatives who never met a corporation they couldn't love. With the Citizens United decision these conservative activist judges have ripped the foundations out from our democracy in a manner that would have made Hitler and Mussolini blush with pride. Yet conservatives stay twisted up in knots over non-issues like gender preference.

I agree with that. Marriage in the sense of a contract with the state, is a failed institution for many reasons. Lobbying for your right to be able to enter into a contractual agreement with the state is ludicrous in my opinion.

There are a ton of rights and privileges that come with that contractual agreement.

Yes, but there are also obligations that the state often times must enforce. Marriage is not just a partnership, its a three way relationship that includes the state.
