GOP candidate's spokesman on Facebook: "Let’s hurl some acid at those female democratic Senators who won’t abide the mandates they want to impose on the private sector."

"...The Facebook page, called NY19 U.S. House of Representatives Discussion Center, encourages “civil multi-partisan discussion about issues impacting citizens of New York’s U.S. House District represented by Republican Congresswoman Nan Hayworth.” On it, a question about gas prices was also critical of Hayworth. Townsend responded to one commenter, Tom, by bringing up the “war on women” and suggested they “hurl some acid at those female democratic Senators.”
The comment:
Listen to Tom. What a little bee he has in his bonnet. Buzz Buzz. My question today … when is Tommy boy going to weigh in on all the Lilly Ledbetter hypocrites who claim to be fighting the War on Women? Let’s hurl some acid at those female democratic Senators who won’t abide the mandates they want to impose on the private sector.
..."
Taliban much there, Mr. Townsend? Acid thrown at women is a serious form of intimidation used by people who doe not want women to have education or voice. For a party complaining they get misrepresented at waging a war on women, they sure sound like they are waging war on women.

Darn you free thinking she-bitches.
Who gave you the right to think or hope to choose your own path in life? or your own health outcomes, or the value of your work?
Be silent, look pretty and remember, man is the head of the household and somebody's god says I can smack ya down just a bit if I need to remind you.
or… ACID TO THE FACE!!! WE are the GOP, old school inquisition like, none of that compassion and tolerance slop here folks.
Thus sayeth the lord… wha!?Really, acid in the face, all douche-bag terrorist like?
well maybe not too surprising. The current loons who drive the GOP seem to be our own "homegrown" version of the jihadi radicals, but ours come from plantation Republican ideology.
meaning "real" Americans don't encourage the minorities to vote democrat. Can't let the "help" starting to have a voice.
hmmm, a voice… like the unions gave the working class JUST BEFORE OUR NATIONS WEALTH< JOBS< POWER< AND GREATNESS GREW AND BUILT THE MIDDLE CLASS.
Gotta respect, nah, you don't... the way the dinosaurs of bigotry just trudge along on their self destructive and futile hopes of the serfdoms and feudal systems of the lord and master and slave nostalgia.
Our nation has been economically subverted and undermined by deliberate and calculated conspiracy.
To slow and stagnate the efforts of Obama so the misery and the fears of economic security could be manipulated like the markets have been shown to be.
The anger is mostly from the inability to find a cover that the American people will accept which covers their just plain hate of a man who OUR NATION CHOSE LEGALLY, but is a democrat , not so bad, BUT this democrat is giving way to much hope to way to many folks who just might start thinking.
This is a definite ARGGH!!So.. toss acid in their faces, they'll shut up seems to be the logical step to them? (metaphorically or not)
If this was done by the progressive folks in Washington, the GOP would be demanding hearings and grand jury trails for treason and for "conspiracy to interfere with the "right to the pursuit of happiness" by deliberate economic sabotage.

Nailed it!
a former sheriff I know was telling me about a really good/wise cop who mentored him when he was green in law enforcement. The older cop would ask questions, serve up scenarios and ask how to best handle, you know, stuff like that.
One shift, the older cop asked the green cop: What is the most dangerous thing that can be visible in a household where domestic dispute call is made? The green cop (my friend the retired sheriff) went through his mental list of weapons and household items that could be used as weapons.
'No, no, no, no, nope, nah-uh' responded the experienced officer. The most dangerous thing would be a large bible on a table. That indicates a male in the household probably feels he has a god-given-right to do anything to any member of the household and anyone who tried to stop him too.
Over the years, my friend found that to be exactly correct. And my friend gave up going to church after some of those years of dealing with his church going neighbors in places other than church.

The "tea party" is largely 60+ Americans who simply don't want a Stalinistic or Communistic type government, or welfare dependent people within America (as Obama would like). Unlike the (Occupiers) 1% ers, they aren't expecting government handouts, bitching about corporate profits , by texting on their $400 i-Phones ( which by the way, represents 300% profit by Apple and manufactured with Chinese slave labor overseas). The percentage of profit to Exxon on a gallon of gas is less than 10%, but it's fine that Coke can make an 800% profit on it's Dasani water products. Thanks for the update link, leen. Scathing stuff. The last part echos something I have thought about re RW/GOP/TP/bigots from hell who hate Islam:
"...
And so on and so on. This, apparently, was all Imam Rauf's fault, according to Townsend. Odd that Townsend didn't mention acid attacks (though, admittedly, they weren't as much in the news then). But the fact that he's mentioning them now makes you wonder if the right's obsession with the behaviors that besmirch Islam is just a form of jealousy."
Yep, those who villainize all Muslims are often the ones trying to control/punish woman here in the US with draconian laws interfering with women's rights to privacy in their medical care. They pass state laws banning 'sharia law' then turn around and pass laws that fall within the realm of such practices. They label all followers of Islam as fanatics and then they fanatically try to shove their own religious wishes down the throats of all Americans.

Here's another case in point:
http://wonkette.com/474069/kansas-gov-brownback-turns-attention-to-non-problem-o...KS Guv Brownback, who has made it just about impossible for women in that state to get full healthcare due to limits on abortions and making it harder to get affordable birth control, now waves the banner of the threat of foreign law being enforced by judges in the US
" Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback has signed a law aimed at keeping the state’s courts or government agencies from basing decisions on Islamic or other foreign legal codes, and a national Muslim group’s spokesman said Friday that a court challenge is likely.
The new law, taking effect July 1, doesn’t specifically mention Shariah law, which broadly refers to codes within the Islamic legal system. Instead, it says courts, administrative agencies or state tribunals can’t base rulings on any foreign law or legal system that would not grant the parties the same rights guaranteed by state and U.S. constitutions."

Never, ever forget, however, that these people actually believe that their words and actions are heroic and necessary to battle the evils of the "liberal elite." To think that they are just a bunch of idiots is to underestimate their dedication to their cause. Reagan and the two Bushes were, in my opinion, elected in large part because apathetic progressives simply did not believe that the American people would elect such obviously unintelligent and uninformed candidates. They will use ANY means to accomplish their goals -- and do so believing that those means have been used for the greater good (or the greater Glory of God). That does not mean that progressives should emulate their tactics, merely that progressives cannot afford to let their guards down - ever.

None of us should really be shocked... the GOP is little more than a Domestic Terrorist Organization... They try to impose their will over our country by "suggesting or implying" acts of violence against anyone they disagree with. This is nothing more than a Hate Group. Think about it.... They evoke the "will of God" like it belongs to them. Yet, they resent everything "Their God" stood for. By their own standards Jesus would be a Communist or a Socialist. The GOP, like most racist hate groups is led by a bunch charismatic charlatans. The wealthy, greedy, business elite that own everything including The Senate and the House, feed their mindless minions well spun propaganda that is engineered to garner emotions like fear and rage so that their less educated servants will not focus on the real issues. Poor RepubliKKKans are a true testimony to the failure of our education system.

To say that Teabagger/Republicans are evil.is an understatement. They have lost what little ability they had to reason and use sound judgement. It's downright appalling for a spokesman to a Congresswoman to request that sitting Senators are assaulted in the face with acid.
This is a threat and it should be handled as such. No sane individual would make such a request, and it's no laughing matter!

No, we need to do more than just not vote for him, or his candidate/employer. We need to howl about what he says on a very public forum. We cannot ignore this sort of crap coming from the campaigns of people. Ignoring and just not voting for the candidate does not send the message that words ARE important, that words have power, and that the GOP will be taken to task when they are recklessly inappropriate with what they say/write.
