That kind of situation stinks, Kenny. You shouldn't have to be at war
with anyone on a social interactive community. I've been here 4 years
and haven't been afraid to speak my mind. But I've been attacked and
even gang banged by several at a time. One person in particular has
attacked me obsessively. I don't like to flag anyone, being tolerant,
But being a Stalking victim, a survivor of several Attempted Murders
I have PTSD, with no MJ to treat it. So my nerves are a little raw at times.
One member is notorious for personal attacks, devoting an entire page
to obsessively attacking me with abuse meant to humiliate & pillory me
because they misunderstood something I said. I was forced to flag her
when she insulted my dead mother. Yet the moderators could care less
apparently. JoeRedford attacked me repeatedly and was banned too.
But before he was. he flaged me for reacting to his extreme abuse.

I've seen realy decent people like Animalia Libero, Snookums, et al
railroaded off this site. Even people with over 100 followers threatened.
KB723 has 885 points, and has acted civily, yet the blurb below his
now disabled account says he " has no badges" Are we in the hands
of some unintelligent machine ? Many many people have left this site
complaining it's gone downhill because they've jetisoned many of the
good features which made it great. I've tolerated all that because I've
made many friends here. But the more of my friends they eliminate,
the more I realize the real reason why this site has gone downhill is
because of exactly what this issue deals with. I sympathize with your
problem, Kenny. Making this website a forum for political propaganda
is another form of spam. The routine attacks against leftist leaning
citizens reeks with intolerance, is patently offensive, reeking with abuse.
This attitude of censorship has a chilling effect which inhibits democratic
debate and fosters resentment. The idea of sock puppets realy stinks.
Intrigue, guile, hostility, attacks have no place in ANY social community.

Well, put it this way. I got thrown into the cooler for a couple of weeks for "baiting," and this incident involved only a couple of other posters who were harassing me. When someone's entire existence revolves around baiting people here, and nothing happens, something is definitely not right.

versations with Congoboy when he was on this site. He focused on politics
which, like religion, is a hot spot topic- brings out the reptile brain in humans.
Even atheism is an anti religion religion. Many atheists have 0 tolerance too.
He drew a lot of negative reactions from people who apparently never
realized or even stopped to think that his tach was to elicit uncontrived
core feelings from people as lawyers do to shake out the truth by being
very very direct and playing devfil's advocate. Being Aries, I'm so direct I
have to tone it down at times when I speak on a topic relating to social
Justice for all. Being passionate is great to motivate. The Greeks say that
enthusiasm is a deific trait. But it also draws out a lot of darker emotions
from others that need repressing to behave sociably. It's like playing with fire.
But thinking is a form of fire too. I find that acting on an airy social/intellectual
plane is preferable to persuade people with the soft sell. Obviously you can
tell I'm one of those leftists he's always railing on about & denouncing. Imho,

a clear grasp of all the " inconvenient truths " about his results. It's not
realy possible to communicate anything to a closed mind, because a mind

I am of the opinion that the true bottom line purpose of current it's not so much to inform, but to shape and corral public opinion through the tactic of consensus thought.

This would explain currents obsession with the control of language. As soon as you begin to control HOW something is said, not just the content itself, you are by definition attempting to control thought. I have said many times, that the people who have been put in charge of scrutinizing what is written, come across as either good little corporate Wordsmith police, or still adolescent minded young adults, who have very little real knowledge of how the world actually works around them, but are afraid to admit it to themselves, their peers, or the public post least they no longer be seen (or perceive themselves) as "cool".

Such people in charge of what is acceptable "language" is analogous to a first-year physics student giving their inestimable insights and knowledge on physics, to Prof. Einstein.

I have said it before and I'll say it again, this is not a fucking church, and we are not fuckin children, we are adults, and do not need to be told how to say what the fuck we want to say, if you go into a bar (if it's a really good bar that is) you'll hear lots of loud talking, laughter and yes profanity, and if that offends you, then fucking leave, I doubt that you would have the audacity to make a loud announcement in the bar, explaining that your poor little child like sensitive ears do not wish to hear any profanity, while you were in the bar.

I can identify with your assessment 100%. My grandad Giovani Narduzzo
was a cook on an Italian Navy Dreadnaught battleship in 1896. ( The

D Day invasion of France during WW2. My family comes from Sicily, the
place that invented the word Vendetta. We're honest, but we don't cotten
to people playing with our fire. What keeps us warm is what keeps
us American and thus defying censorship. We don't like to use words
as weapons. We prefer to be civil and sociable always. But we don't
shine 'em on either when we're attacked and baited as KB, Animalia
Libero, Snookums et al were before they permitted others to drive
them off this site. Discrimination is only an empty word to those who
haven't felt the sting of that tort. My personal life situation involves
Discrimination so horridly extreme that only crooked Govt agents
could organize to accomplish it. And then only through their Fascism,
as Mussolini defined it, by partnering with the ABC Corp fostering
a Hate crime motivating the Discrimination in exchange for Bribes.

So I know of the abuse of power well enough to understand, on another
parralel, what's happened to KB, some of my other friends on this website
has also happened to me. It's ugly, and has caused a lot of resentment.
The protesters in L.A. who demonstrated against the gang beating of
Rodney King in 1992 chanted: " No Justice, no Peace " They, like me,
didn't forgive and forget either. I get along with true Christians fine.

I never had a problem with kb either; he was always respectful and civil with me.

Speaking as a community member who's expressed a minority viewpoint
is like the title of that Tom Cruise movie " Minority Report " Because when
ever I've posted straight talk about a bullshit article no intelligent high school
freshman would dream of airing, I've been jumped on, and gang banged
by people getting too carried away with their emotionalism to care to be
civil and obey community guidelines. I recall once I commented negatively
but civily about " president Nobama's popularity " ( the small case letter
is more fitting for a corporate clerk than the ones serving during the Dwight
Eisenhaur, John Fitzgerald Kennedy era I grew up in when the USA was
still right side up. And the N before his name more suitably befits a grifter )
As you can see I disdain mincing words about people who presume they

The article poster attacked me so viciously with such malicious defamation
of character as to afford anyone grounds to sue. Ie they realy became
unhinged, and out of control in their personal attacks & hate. With humans
who can't be bothered to think 1st before they act, the attacker's synchophants
quickly immitated that tortious misdemeanor and jumped all over me with
their own versions of that same relentless personal attack. If there were
any effective moderation on this website, I would not have had to flag the
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th attacks by multiple attackers. And it would have
been they who were warned after their comments were removed. But the
current system failed me. And after being baited to react at their foul
level, and blinded to the effects of what they provoked from me, it was
I who was misjudged as the offender. None of their personal attacks was
ever removed as violations of community guidelines. Though the primary
attacker is no longer present now, their absence is voluntary. And it was
I who was threatened. They use machines to keep score, right or wrong.

My point is that V for Vendetta's description of their petty control freak
mentality is dead on target. As I described to Ziggy Strange, their pattern
of behavior is like the HAL 9000 computer in the 1967 movie 2001 Space
Odessy. HAL tried to reconcile conflicting directives, and went scitzo over
it, eliminating crew members to control variables. Their flawed system failed
my good friends Animalia Libero, Snookums, Congoboy, KB723. I'm to be
next on their hit list, so I realy could give a shit less about being ultra tactful
& diplomatic about their nasty little habit of obliteration. It's UnAmerican.

I was just talking to KB and he thinks what he wrote was misunderstood. I did not actually see it and I know he sometimes takes things more personally than he should, but he is a good guy. He would not hurt anyone. He is always friendly to new people and he is a prolific poster of really good material. Being bombarded by people who serve no other purpose than to bring KB down may have caused him a lapse in judgement as to how people would read him. This is not the best medium for sarcasm or brain farts.

I do not think current's moderators are taking context into account. In any event, hopefully he will be able to come back.

That's one of the reasons I don't drink beer. Murder is always an option. I know it is because in the real world the core bad guys behind the GOP have been killing my people as long as I have been alive. They even got my little brother Patrick a few years ago. They always have plans to out do themselves in the future. But we are not suposed to get emotional about it. Even when they keep bragging and claiming it is good to kill innocent targets and that genocide is wonderful for america. I don't think KB was far out of line. I have some really big chips on my shoulders. If I got kicked out of this community it would make little differance to the community because I contribute little but repeating my tired old complaints. But KB is a great contributor. His abscence is a big loss to the community. I know it is a big loss for me. I am not computer literate. But now I must learn to use that mainstreet place.

You aren't wrong. You simply are. It's the actions people take which are
either justified or not justified which are thus right or wrong. It IS wrong
for humans to act coldly, irratrionaly like machines to sweep a community
member out as you'd use a broom to sweep your home of filth, yes.
What's wrong here is that community members are forced to pay for
the mistakes of others. And this is swept under the rug to conceal it.
Easy and quick to eliminate someone in the center of a flare up. It
would actualy take some time, care to dilligently examine the causes
of the flare up to focus on who & what is realy precipitating the community
guideline violations. Much easier to act as bouncers in a rowdy bar
and throw the bum out. Life is a human business. Like the elements,
machines make good servants for humans but very bad masters, bro.
We may as well be handled by non A.I. machines for all the so called
good their failed inherently flawed system has done to serve us. Tell
