Dick Morris was a campaign strategist for Bill Clinton back in 1996 before resigning after news broke that he was sucking the toes of a prostitute. After leaving the Democratic Party in disgrace, Dick - like most other freaks and perverts found a new home in the Republican Party... and eventually on Fox so-called News...often appearing with loufa-obsessed Bill O'Reilly. By 2008, Dick was a rockstar on the Right, and one of the go-to Republican strategists for Fox News. And right after President Obama won the election that year - Dick wrote a very interesting column for "The Hill" titled: "An election that the Republicans needed to lose - good luck Obama." If you want to know why the economy is where it is today - why Republicans are acting the way they're acting - and why President Obama's re-election chances aren't all that great - then it's worth reading toe-sucker Dick Morris's 2008 column. Rewind back to 2008 - remember those days?

When President Bush and Treasury Secretary Paulsen were routinely addressing the nation about the dire financial crisis Bush looked scared to death - Paulsen hands trembled. 2.6 million Americans lost their jobs that year. The foreclosure crisis was speeding up, banks were failing, and businesses were closing their doors. It was economic doomsday. And Dick Morris and the rest of the top Republican strategists knew it. That's why Morris wrote in his column after the election: "If ever there was an election that was not worth winning, it was the contest of 2008. While it was hard-fought on both sides, had McCain won, it might have spelled the end of the Republican Party. As it is, the party is well-situated to come back in 2010 and in 2012, if it learns the lessons of this year."

    • Why does Dick Morris always sound like he's talking with a mouthful of santorum? He is the epitome of the spineless, ugly, pervert that makes his living by spewing hate and misinformation. Wormtongue comes to mind.

      I would think with his prediction track record, this guy would be unemployable by anyone except the Sun or the Enquirer.

    • God I love Thom Hartman. Thom only missed one major thing there, the republicans do not plan to rebuild the economy when they " get back" the presidency. They just plan on business as usual, which is takeing claim to ownership of everything and starveing or killing whoever stands to even speak against them. The next election will not be an election to select our leaders so much as it will be a final coup de etat against democracy and freedom. They pretty much run at least two sides to every argument that the media is allowed to discuss. Thier power is so manifest that they have already won thier war strategy. The election will just be a battle in a war they have already won. That is , if the election can be stolen as I believe it will be stolen for the republican candidate. Been done before you know. But if we can prevent that we might achieve a year , even two ,three ,or four of realitive freedom to fight back. Otherwise we will be liveing like jews lived in Germany under hitler. Even republican loyalists will die feeling the sting of betrayal from the elites they foolishly supported. Strict social order demands death for the trimmings. I believe Thom knows this. It was just too much to mention while makeing the other points he was makeing so very well as he always does. I wish more people got his message. I would die to make this man better heard. We as humans should live to do the same. Sempre Fidellis !!!!!!
