Unbelievable, these police think it's okay to kill blacks. They believe they can get away with this by making up a ridiculous lie. How in the world can someone shoot themselves when their hands are handcuffed behind their back. And I guarantee that he was NOT double jointed in both his shoulders, elbows and wrist. These police officers must pay for this crime, this is outright murder. It's unbelievable how many people commit "suicide" while in custody, while killers like Zimmermann is only given a slight tap on the wrist. It appears if you are a minority your life is at EXTREME RISK from law "enforcement". My heartfelt sympathy to his family.

I don't understand how this could be complicated. If a passerby shot him, the window should be broken. I would think that standard procedure would be to close the back windows when securing a prisoner. If he shot himself the gun would have been found. Why are these two vital pieces of information not in the report?

I really doubt this case requires Sherlock Holmes.

I get that the police cuffed this guys hands behind his back, but I want to know if the guys hands were in front of him after he was shot.

I want to know this because I know a fair number of people, though by no means a majority, who are flexible enough to get a pair of handcuffs under their legs, getting their hands in front of them.

I also get that the guy was left handed, but that doesn't necessarily mean squat. Technically I'm left handed, I write, drawn, pretty much anything that requires fine detailed movement is left hand dominant; however, things like catching, throwing, most anything requiring physical power, is right hand dominant for me. This includes shooting. I use the right hand to hold and pull the trigger and the left hand to balance the gun. I could shoot left handed, but guns just feel odd in my left hand like they don't belong there, which is oddly similar to how a pencil or pen feels in my right hand.

Ultimately though, I am not willing to up and believe the officers who were involved in this. This is insanely suspicious and although police do sometimes miss small concealed weapons, like razor blades and the like, missing a gun is entirely different. One can conceal a razor blade in a location where one cannot conceal a gun. It is pretty much impossible to conceal a gun in ones mouth while the police do a pat down.

How does someone shoot themselves in the forehead when they're sitting down and their hands are behind their back. That's the usual form of transportation for suspected criminals.

I mean how stupid do they think the public is? I have no words for this one.

"A 21-year-old was charged with first-degree murder in the death of a popular police officer, shifting attention to increased gang violence in Colorado."

Try this one:

NY Times, July 5, 2012:
"A police officer with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority was stabbed in the eye on Wednesday in an apparently unprovoked attack beneath a railroad overpass in Jamaica, Queens"

A long time ago we fought a revolutionary war with oppressors such as these. I am ashamed that we just sit back and allow it to happen now. Turn off NFL football and Dancing With The Stars and stand up to the oppressors....before it is too late.

1- why would a guy kill himself if he told his girlfriend he was gonna call her when he's in jail?
2- if he's left handed how can he shoot himself on the right side of his temple (it's hard to hold something in the hand opposite of hand you regulary use).
3- how can you get ahold of something if you're double cuffed?
4- why would a guy kill himself if he wasn't suicidal?

Uhhhhh..... Is this reverse psychology public relations? The story is so utterly unbelievable that it's believable on that basis alone? Strange.

We have an epidemic in the US and it's called murder by police.

By releasing stories like this the media is setting the precident that police can just round up anyone off the street put a bullet in their head and get away with it.

Searched twice the left handed kid supposedly shot himself in the right temple with handcuffs on in the backseat of a police squad car!
