With the overt disclosure of the 2045 program, a scientific advancement process intended to ultimately lead to ‘immortality’ via an artificial body and mind, a startlingly clear picture of what was once thought of as a science fiction fantasy is forming into reality in a profound way.

The 2045 strategic social initiative is an explicit display of a plan for what is touted as human immortality — first available to the wealthy elite of the world. Also called the avatar project, this effort puts a face to the underlying attempts of transhumanists to use genetics, robotics, artificial intelligence and nanotechnology to create a technologically advanced grade of “humans” with abilities and lifespan far beyond that of the average man.

    • This is the story line that spans the entire Dune Series of novels from Frank Herbert. All we need to hear about is how with their technology they will find a way to remove a brain from a body and attach it to a mechanized body. Then immortality will last as long as you can keep moving the brain from one body to the next.

    • They wealthy ? You mean the people who never had to cope with stress , challenges or problem they actually cause ? Ok use them as practice . Scrap them later as useless .... Can we not agree those with the most brilliance in some useful field ... perhaps several , should have a shot , if they so desire .

    • This needs to be talked about in the open more often. This, transhumanism is their favorite ongoing initiative. Sick elitists old fucks have run this country and world into the ground and have no justification for existing. They completely parasitic now and they are the last type of people you would want to live forever.

      The converse is what they plan on doing to everyone else. They plan on altering everyone else to resemble something like this (Pictured above ), (This is from the 2002 movie the "The Time Machine" a screen adaption of an H.G. Wells book .)

      It doesn't stop at them trying to make themselves gods, they want to turn everyone else into dumb laborers, feeble minded drones that takes absolute orders and never threaten to tip their elitist apple cart.

      The dumbing down and dehumanization will/is being implemented in a variety of ways. Subtle, at first additives in staple food items and water supply pharmaceuticals get a mention as well. Rest assured, it will get blatant with the advancing of the technology to the point of forced genetic alterations.

      Still I'm curious to know how they intend to transfer consciousness into an artificial brain when we still know so little about how the brain works, let alone that no one really understands what "consciousness" is. If one takes the view of Zen Buddhist's, there is literally nothing to transfer. Interesting post.
