There are always reports of multiple shooters in these highly publicized mass murders, but the final version of each and every one of these shootings from Columbine to Norway Massacre to the Sikh Temple Shooting are always revised to only one shooter.

      The day of the shooting NPR Talk of the Nation reported that the FBI was seeking help in locating a second shooting suspect. I have not been able to find this on the NPR site, but I definitely heard it on their live broadcast from that day.

      That was the last I ever heard of it.

      The next thing you know all you hear about is the Southern Poverty Law Center hyping neo-Nazis and the arrest of the shoorter's ex-girlfriend, but nothing about the second shooter.

    • I could understand the confusion and mixed messages in the Aurora incident – a darkened theatre, teargas / smoke canisters etc. But, even allowing for the obvious panic that must have ensued, the discrepancy between initial eye-witness reports of several people in dark clothing and official confirmation of a lone gunman in a white t-shirt seems very odd indeed.
