Military Militia Was Plotting To Blow Up Dam, Kill Obama! More right wing terror......

kennymotown
It's quite obvious who the terrorists are in America!

Imagine that. After thirty years of right-wing leaders filling people's heads with all kinds of conspiracy theories, some people go off the deep end and decide the most patriotic thing to do is to blow some things up and kill the president. I wonder where they could have gotten that idea:

LUDOWICI, Ga. — Four Army soldiers based in southeast Georgia killed a former comrade and his girlfriend to protect an anarchist militia group they formed that stockpiled assault weapons and plotted a range of anti-government attacks, prosecutors told a judge Monday.

Prosecutors in rural Long County, near the sprawling Army post Fort Stewart, said the militia group of active and former U.S. military members spent at least $87,000 buying guns and bomb components. They allege the group was serious enough to kill two people — former soldier Michael Roark and his 17-year-old girlfriend, Tiffany York — by shooting them in the woods last December in order to keep its plans secret.

“This domestic terrorist organization did not simply plan and talk,” prosecutor Isabel Pauley told a Superior Court judge. “Prior to the murders in this case, the group took action. Evidence shows the group possessed the knowledge, means and motive to carry out their plans.”

One of the Fort Stewart soldiers charged in the case, Pfc. Michael Burnett, also gave testimony that backed up many of the assertions made by prosecutors. The 26-year-old soldier pleaded guilty Monday to manslaughter, illegal gang activity and other charges. He made a deal to cooperate with prosecutors against the three other soldiers.

Prosecutors said the group called itself F.E.A.R., short for Forever Enduring Always Ready. Pauley said authorities don’t know how many members it had.

Burnett, 26, said he knew the group’s leaders from serving with them at Fort Stewart. He agreed to testify against fellow soldiers Pvt. Isaac Aguigui, identified by prosecutors as the militia’s founder and leader, and Sgt. Anthony Peden and Pvt. Christopher Salmon.

Funny thing about Isaac Aguigui - although officials describe the plotters as an anarchist militia, he seems to have been a Republican four years ago, according to Gawker:

Isaac Aguigui, the Army private and alleged ringleader of a plot to assassinate Barack Obama and "take over" Ft. Stewart in Georgia, apparently served as a page at the 2008 Republican National Convention in Minneapolis, Minn. That's his mug shot after he was arrested for the alleged murder of Pvt. Michael Roark on the left. At right is a 2008 Reuters photo with the caption: "Republican National Convention page Isaac Aguigui watches from the edge of the floor at the start of the first session of the 2008 Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota September 1, 2008."

Of course, there could be two Isaac Aguiguis who look startlingly alike.

    • These guys must be nuts although the concept of blowing up a dam to accomplish political assassination is original they get no points for it.
I wonder if these people are the same that many here stated supported Obama in a thread a couple of weeks ago. When I wrote that my sons in the military did not know anyone who supported Obama I was well informed here by responders that I was incorrect as were my sons and Obama was well supported by the military. I guess all is not what it appears to be.

This is the funniest thing I have ever read here, and one of the biggest lies. I had something else to say but it escapes me with the magnitude of the, well lie is not strong enough, statement in quotes.

Psychopaths as well as psychotics often fail to see humor in things that normal people find funny and the opposite is also true, i.e, they see humor in many things that are tragic. Some of the PERPS at Abu Ghraib were laughing their perverted, psychotic and empty heads off.

      Now --about protected free speech:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

      ---FIRST AMENDMENT, U.S. CONSTITUTION

For your benefit, I will educate you the CONSTITUTION and the BILL OF RIGHTS are --IN FACT --the SUPREME LAW OF THE LAND!

It is invariable the police ---in body army, swinging clubs --who are in violation of the SUPREME la law of the land!

      Comprende?

Here's another source for this story.

Again, even the article has to admit that the claim of an Obama assassination and overthrow of the government is of a "differing response" by the Georgia prosecutor and (unnamed) federal authorities.

Also, "It is not clear how capable the group was of carrying out the goals Burnett laid out."

To me that sounds like newspeak weasel words for a bullshit claim by anonymous sources.

Oh yeah and speaking of bullshit, the SPLC is again sourced in this CNN article.

TREASON is and always has been a matter of LOYALTY to a SOVEREIGN --by definition. I daresay that in and throughout the AXIS of M.I.C/K-STEET few are 'loyal' to 1) the Constitution (SPECIFICALLY that portion that places SOVEREIGNTY with the people); 2) the treaties to which the U.S. is signatory and, thus, bound by law and 3) the Bill of Rights which are consistently compromised if not sacrificed whenever the 'politicians' in charge find it PROFITABLE to wage a war benefiting ONLY their ruling elites, i.e, their constituents. The crooks are loyal to the big money which drives both Wall Street and K-Street on which the U.S. is PIMPED every day. .See the text of United States Code at 18 U.S.C. § 2381 which you can find at either FINDLAW or the Cornell University Law Library online.

    • You've got serious anger control issues when you get to the point of planning something ridiculous like that, let alone killing people.

When a couple of serial killers abducted me as a kid I kicked one in the nuts and jumped out the sliding door of the van while his bitch wife was busy driving. I was satisfied with the kick in the balls. Stupid cops arrested them after the next victim escaped. Despite the missing children and numerous warnings they were trouble, the two had raped and murdered children for a number of years before police eventually arrested them.

I especially enjoyed being taken to the wacko's property by police when I rang them to tell them that I thought they might possibly be bad people after a friend of mine disappeared. I guess that's why the psychos decided to try and abduct me in broad daylight out the front of my house. It occurred to me the police were not much brighter except for one detective who believed me but was not given permission to act until a few more children disappeared and the final girl escaped.

It was nice to hear the guy with the sore nuts hung himself in prison not long ago, but I never felt like killing him. Some people are just nuts I think, or have sore nuts.

The DHS report was based on stats by the SPLC, who makes the bulk of their "non-profit" fundraising off imaginary domestic terror threats, sensational, fear-mongering media stories and outright fabrications.

      http://current.com/community/93881618_southern-poverty-law-center-and-anti-defam...

Any article or report sourcing the SPLC, or having anything to do with them, must be considered propaganda as the SPLC just aren't credible.

First of all this prosecution will have to prove that these men murdered two people which will be hard enough, but then they also have to prove that they were involved in a conspiracy to kill the president and take over an entire military base.

That my friend is laughable, and as we know from past plots and from the prosection of the Hutaree, it's likely to be thrown out due to lack of evidence.

I couldn't disagree more. A quick SPLC google search shows their non-profit charity ratings to be good. They tracked the Sikh temple shooter for more than a decade. Unfortunately, law enforcement couldn't/wouldn't do anything about him. The Southern Poverty Law Center has listed Label56.com as a hate site since 2006 due to its active promotion and distribution of racist hate music. Label56 produced the temple shooter's music and SPLC's listing severely curtailed sales of their music.
Hate groups and the far right would love to see the SPLC go away.

    • Incredulous:

These men are being tried for murder.

Beyond that, there isn't even any evidence in this article that these men had any credible plan to carry out an assassination of the President and carry take over a military base.

It's just a wild claim made by the prosecution and for this blog. Why doesn't the prosecution try to say that these men carried out 9/11, the assassination of JFK and bombed Pearl Harbor while they are at it?

Are you seriously of the notion that because "there isn't even any evidence in this article" there isn't any evidence? Gee, ya think investigators and DAs just lay everything they have out for an article?

      Seriously?

The newsmen fake the news and plant ridiculous stories in blogs all the time.

If I missed the evidence in this article that suggests that these men did anything beyond kill two people beyond a wild claim, then why don't you point it out for me? If not I stand by the fact that this article, as well as this story is all media hype.

My guess is that the conspiracy charges will get thrown out for being a stupid conspiracy theory and lack of evidence, but you won't read it on Crooks and Liars.

Neal Boortz-'President Obama is a dictator'
      The Hate Parade Marches On!
Neal Boortz just said, in all seriousness, 'President Obama is a dictator, he goes against the constitution and ignores our laws.' Of course that's not true. Even if he wanted to he couldn't and not one single Republican congress-person is filing charges of any kind against him, much less impeachment. Don't people think that Nixon and Clinton would have liked to tell our justice system to 'back off'. But somehow, we are to believe that PBO has it all figured out and has taken over our country. I'm surprised he's letting us have an election! Of course Boortz is a liar or a fool or both, but it's not funny that Cox and WGAU let him get away with, in essence, calling for the assassination of our president. Because that is exactly what any law abiding citizen would be compelled to do if they believed this insane, vile hate-speech.

I only wish this evil bile was unique to the Boortz show and not the entire WGAU, Cox, WSB, WABC lineup. It's all one long parade of hate and bigotry. It's a disgrace to the United States of America and it is in fact leading to terrorism and bigoted militias forming.

A super secret domestic terror plot to murder the president was uncovered in from murder investigation?

LOL yup must be election season. Didn't we have one of these alleged Obama murder plots from 2008?

The news is just such a silly, predictable cycle...yawn
