Rep. Todd Akin (R-MO) is echoing Mitt Romney’s attack on President Obama over the Cairo embassy’s statement on the Islamophobic video that preceded the fatal attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya. Akin told KMBC-TV, “First of all, apologizing to all people, [to] a lot of countries who are enemies, and apologizing to them and everything. You know, if we did something wrong, that’s one thing. But he’s just apologizing because he didn’t like America? I think that’s the wrong thing to do.”http://thinkprogress.org/election/2012/09/13/846091/akin-obama-is-apologizing-be...

It is amazing how easy it is for those who depend upon hate to further their goals to force destabilization upon nations and shape their policy. Absolute free speech with no accountability is a weapon that is easy to use and difficult to counter. They are screaming "Fire" in the theater causing death and destruction, and no one acts to counter this. Why? Who profits from this? Is this just another "distraction" in our hostile Corporate takeover?

Speaking of apologies
July 2009 - President Bush has apologized to Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki for an American sniper's use of a copy of the Quran for target practice, Maliki's office said Tuesday.
February 2009 - President Bush expressed personal regret to Chinese President Hu Jintao for a protest during an elaborate welcoming ceremony on the White House lawn Thursday. Mr. Bush later addressed the matter when he met with Hu in the Oval Office. "He just said this was unfortunate and I'm sorry it happened," said Dennis Wilder, acting senior director for Asian affairs on the National Security Council staff.

I am reminded of that brave Iraqi journalist who threw a shoe at dubyah's head.....some brave American journalist needs to shove a shoe sideways in Akin's mouth, so that he can no longer embarrass himself.

But I have read the whole thing, right the way through. And you know, you'd never recognize it from what you hear from Todd Akin & Co. Would you believe that the word abortion does not even appear there?
What's more, you are not supposed to be obsessed with building an earthly fortune; you are to help the poor, AND (now get this) you must love (not hate) your enemies!
That last bit is extraordinary, since there is no specific exception for Obama; or even for socialists, Muslims, homos, fornicators, public employee unions, undocumented workers, negroes, Commies, gypsies, or other undesirables generally. Apparently you are supposed to love 'em all. It's hard to get your head around the whole thing I'll tell ya!

Let's not forget that Grover Norquist's comments at CPAC set a low bar for the president and much greater emphasis on congressional control. They see the president (beginning with Gerald Ford) in the corporate model - the successful public image fronting a decision-making machine. That makes sense given corporate moguls' desires to simply have government do its bidding.
I think their expectations for Romney were always less than 50-50, so there's a lot of focus at the state level. Their problem is that within the GOP the extreme right is effective at the state level. They figured they could overcome that but they've had a real hard time with it. So they find themselves having to support extreme positions and can't contain them to a local level (i.e.; Akin hurts them all across the country.)
The TP (mostly older whites) isn't thrilled with mainstream GOP so they're not backing down. Hence, Akin carries on. GOP can't live with him or without him. - 8 months ago

Todd Aiken, who's been declared cuckoo by his own Republican party, is of course an expert on rape, women and God's will and like Romney he is also a foreign policy specialist.
I wonder how the Republicans who many times compared Obama to Hitler, will react to the truth about the trillions ($21 trillions according to the Guardian), that the 000.1% hide in Swiss banks:
