The London Telegraph reports over the weekend that a British armada is joining American forces already in the Persian Gulf in preparation for an imminent war with Iran.Recall that the Canadians broke off diplomatic relations with Iran and evacuated their own embassy in Tehran just over a week ago. The announcement was accompanied by a pre-emptive denial that the action had anything to do with Canada having been tipped off about an imminent attack on Iran by Israel and / or the US. Huh? Gee Canada, what made you think anyone would jump to that conclusion?

The Guardian (UK) reported less than 2 hours ago that Iran has just confirmed that it has forces in Syria and is prepared to take military action if pushed.

Russia and China have both warned the West against unilateral military action against Syria or Iran. They could easily be drawn in. In fact, I believe that they would have a hard time standing back.

One more disturbing observation I'd note. It's been very strange how Romney has abandoned the economic argument for his presidency in favor of a foreign policy attack on Obama. Everyone has taken this to be just more inept campaigning by Romney. But could his friend Bebe have whispered something in his ear?
Maybe Romney KNEW that this was going to be a foreign policy election before our government or any of the rest of us.
This is BAD stuff. Armageddon 2012 really is starting to look like a possibility.

First let us do some clarifying so we can address the many situations popping up at one time.
1. The U.S.. Canada, and Britian are all allies of Israel along with NATO. If the canadians gave up intel and forced all allies to declare their intentions.
2. The countries of Lybia, Egypt, Israel, Lebannon, Cyprus, Turkey,Jordan, Saudia Arabia, Iraq, and Yemen all surround Syria.
3. Who gave Iran permission to travel to Syria?
4. If the Russians and the Chinese are giving them courage and gave their ok to enter Syria, then we should step up for our allies and demonstrate our support.
5 Did Bebe give Mitt regional security information to use against a sitting president? If he has not given the same brief to President Obama then this a a big blunder altogether for the Israeli government. I'm sure the White House will be calling to get their briefing and discuss whether Mitt was given the information and clarify what he was told.
6. We must have level heads deciding what actions need to be taken and all the outside comments are self serving and bothersome. I'm sure the most capable men & women in our government will be assembled to address the white House and allies so they can make an informed decision.
7. Finally, sit back and let our fine men and women in uniform do what they are trained to do. Constantly asking for Sitreps only manages to distract them from thier mission. Let them do their jobs with no interuptions.
