Ahmadinejad: US Is Being Bullied By Israel

UNITED NATIONS — Israel is bullying the United States over the alleged threat of an Iranian nuclear weapon, using the prospect of an Israeli military attack on Iran to force the hand of its much larger ally, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Monday.

Americans should be insulted if their government takes marching orders from Israel, he added.

Ahmadinejad dismissed the idea that Israel might well attack on its own, over the objections of the United States, and said Israel itself was an inconsequential interloper with no rightful place in the Middle East.

“I look at it from the outside and I see that a few occupying Zionists are threatening the government of the United States,” Ahmadinejad said during an interview with American editors and reporters.

“Is it the Zionists who must tell the United States government what to do, such as form a red line on Iran’s nuclear issues, and the United States government must make such vital decisions under the influence of the Zionists?” Ahmadinejad said, using the Iranian regime’s term for Israel. He spoke through an interpreter.

    • he also says they arent working on a nuclear bomb, americas unemployment is at 90% and they dont have any gays there.

what is sad are those who find themselves sharing his view, but not noticing how equally disgusting they are for it.

Funny, I was just thinking the same about Netanyahu apologists. They are just as blind to their hypocrisy as the Ahmadinejad apologists.

the difference between the two, as you pointed out in another comment of yours is that in israeli free society, one can only guess bibi is the monster that this tool is.public opinion still needs to be earned in israel, and saying the crap that iranian leaders do would assure that one does not get elected, vs a system in which elections are stolen, and public claims that are disgusting are not left for us to prejudicialy imagine.

if iran was a secular democracy that valued human rights, then it would be the same, and this little wannabe despot wouldnt be able to say they dont have gays, death to israel, of 90% of the crap that comes out of his mouth.

while any israeli politician, just like ours has to hide their disgusting rhetoric as we will not tolerate it.kind of makes a big difference in how each government functions.or does hanging people for daring to love seem to not be a problem?

    • As much as I'd like to just leave Iran alone, just listening to Ahmedinejad's fruitloopy rants raises some serious concern. Just let Iran and Israel fight it out already, as the situation over there just comes across as FUBAR.

Fuck 'em. We got to take care of our own peeps here.

    • A war with Iran is beginning to seem more and more likely. Even General Jafari (head of Iran's revolutionary gaurds) said last week a war "will eventually happen". Iran just announced and tested its new anti-air defense system, as well as sent a submarine into the the Gulf where the US is leading some exercises. Also, in reaction to the attacks on the embassy in Libya, there are now 5 US battleships rather than 4 in the medittarannean.

But pressure for a war on Iran is not comming solely from Israel. Its no secret that the Gulf states (primarily Saudi Arabia) has been insisting on the US to "deal" with Iran. Iran's power has not only become bothersome to surrounding states, but has also been experienced in the rise of power among Shia communities across the Arab world. A war with Iran would also b the actualization of the "cold" war taking place between Sunnis and Shiites.

With Assad in such a weak position, and possibly only in the picture for a limited time, its clear why threats against Iran are becoming more credible. These effects can be seen in Hezbollah's declining "invincibility" in Lebanon, where the Lebanese gov. has been carrying out raids in the southern suburbs of Beirut which were untouchable Hezbollah territories a few months ago. Hezbollah says it supports the raids taking place but the fact remains that the "untouchable" status is fading.

Meaning, the Iran-Syria-Hezbollah triangle is coming to an end. This is something that is supported not only by Israel but also largely by the GCC states. Turkey would also stand to gain from an attack on Iran, strengthening its position as a regional power, especially with rumors that Turkey is eyeing kurdish territories of Syria.

A new Middle East is being drawn and, especially with the rise of Islamic parties, a lot of major players want to beat their chest and mark their territories.

    • Why does anyone listen to Ahmadinejad? Israel is a bright spot in that area, surrounded by terrorists who wish to end their existence. Israel can't bully the U.S. Obama is supporting the muslim brotherhood and hamas.

      soooo
      who is afraid of israel?

have you not noticed the rest of the region when they have a weapon they just cant help using it.
ask the kurds about it, or the syrians.

iran has an army.a massive one, so much so they can have multiple armies in hezbollah and supporting hamas.which of course arent terrorists at all.

just an fyi, iran kills more people a year than we do, and that is a lot, which israel doesnt even come close.if they did the palestinians would be but a memory.if we are talking about facts.

not at all.im not bragging, but simply stating what is without hyperboly.

if the israelis wanted the palestinians gone, they would have been ten times over, as opposed to greater a population than they have ever been and a fifth of israeli society endowed with all the same rights all israeli citizens are.

im noting the reality is rough for you i dont know what else to tell ya.it doesnt change to suite your emotions.sorry about that, but we do all learn how to negotiate that unpleasantness.well except for those who need constant medication to get through their days.

right.just like our society people have the freedom to say what they like, and suffer the consiquences when they offend the population.

it would be hypocrisy if anti gay comments were accepted by israel and they hung gays as iran does.as opposed to criticising those who are hatefull.

hypocrisy is you supposing their is a free society that doesnt have this, or have you not been aware of the republican party?

    • Who is zooming who? Who is playing monopoly and who is getting screwed? CIA is playing everybody. It is a CIA created colonial nation state whose population was pumped in to be human shields for CIA aspirations in the mideast and world politics game. The genocide is no accident. When Israeli's voted in peace candidates CIA did not allow Isreal to go in that direction. They killed that leader. Some things are hard to change by design.

    • You know Mass I'm with you for the most part on the Israeli Government being ruthless oppressors, but you make it real hard when you post this kind of crap. I for one could give a shit what a two it dictator like Ahmadinejad thinks about US/ Israeli relations his belligerence is the other half the problem in that region. If he'd stop acting the duesh bag then the US and the rest of the world body could tell Israel to shut the fuck up and stop pressing the WWIII button and not look like hypocrites when we do it. Seriously Mass you are not doing the cause any favors with this kind of BS.

LOL well hombre you're entitiled to your opinion whether I'm helping the cause or not, but Ahmadinejad's not a dictator he's the democratically elected president of Muslim nation. Obviously a president is automatically going to be both popular and unpopular in his homeland, and I think your reasoning comes from the fact that you perceive all Muslim nations that the US intends to overthrow as "oppressed peoples." My advice to you would be to turn off your teevee.

In my opinion, he's far less beligerent than Netanyahu and even Obama for that matter. He's not threatened war with anyone, whereas Israel and the US continue to just bomb, kill and asassinate all around the world with impunity. He has reached out to the US many times for a dialog and at would prefer to be an ally of the US and not an enemy.

One could argue whether this is just empty rhetoric or not, but recent history has shown us that it's the belligerence of the leaders of the US and Israel that has put Iran on the defensive.

dont you find it odd when your position is shared by bigots?
im not attacking you its an honest question.
doesnt that alone tell you their is clearly info out their that is geared toward this end and you should reevaluate your position to be clear of it?

I pose the question right back to you oh defender of Israel and its Hawks (like Netanyahu). doesn't it bother you when you defend a blatant bigot like him and his party? I stated clearly that Ahmadinejad and the current Iranian government is half the problem in that region. As I have said before just because you want to absolve your side of all it nefarious actions in the perpetuation of this conflict does not mean the rest of us will just up and quit being critical of the entire situation and the all the players involved out of some fear that a fanatic might call us names. you are no better than Massa and the more you attack with out regard for any truth the more you just come across as another Mishima and that is the harshest criticism I can levy at anyone on here.

i defend israel cuz they are a free society with representative government, which is something i value greatly.while they will have leaders who are great and others who are war mongers, that is what happens in a free society.i dont hold israel to an alternate standard while we elected nixon, reagan, and bush, while romney is making a play for the oval office using iran as the basis.

the neat thing is just as they are put into power they are removed, and yet unlike us israel has yet to delcare war on anyone as we have a tendancy to do over and over again.

i also am displeased with my fellow israeli supporters who do so out of a hatred for muslims, and i make a great point and effort to distill those areguments, and counter those points as opposed to agreeing with them.if ever their were israel supporters calling for the death of all muslims, i would wouldnt be with them.i would be against them.because my position is independant of the bigotry others try to interweave into it.which is what im asking you about in regards to your position.

im far better than massanova as im not motivated by, or content in bigotry.im all about liberty for all.if you cant identify the difference between the two you are playing dumb cuz you totally know better.

as opposed to just saying it i like to prove my case.

i point out how you are compelled to make a thread dedicated to don rickles for doing his job, and tried to spin it as racism from a jew, when it has been literally his shtick for 5 decades and is his and his alone, with lisa lampanelli and a host of others doing the same thing which you are well aware of but choose to ignore.

i point out how you characterize helen thomas being fired as one thing, and when it happens to a jew something entirely different.you even went back and forth for about a dozen comments trying to find a way to spin or hide what you had done, but eventually couldnt run from the double standard you were applying.

i then also note that each of these examples is part of a trend you are comnfortable with, and always ask the most simple basic question, which is what does one call another whos efforts are 90% based on jews, and 100% demonizing them.

if you would like to offer a single example of my bigotry i invite you to.but i have made my case very clearly when it comes to you

because all despots need some one to blame to excuse their tyrany.and lord knows we in the west have shown them the blueprint on how to do it blaming the jews.

if not for that, their leaders would have to actually lead.

I think it is. A controversial world leader visits the UN and says to the world what needs to be said, especially something that is not said often enough, is definitely newsworthy.
