      So does that mean Non-Violent Resistance does work? Will it prevent them from using force like that again?

      “Nevertheless, Jonathan Stein, University’s student regent, has be quoted as saying: We did an injustice to our students that day at Davis, and some amount of recompense is appropriate. More importantly, it’s time for us as an institution to publicly acknowledge that’s not the way we should treat our students; we were wrong, and we are moving forward.”

      At least that's progress admitting they were wrong and it may give them pause in trying to do it again.

      Did it work for the students? The tragic event did become infamous and spread the meme, so it will be remembered. They got the message across in all the press about it. The students got compensated enough to help pay off the loans for their education.

      That's not much by todays' standards, but it could go a long way toward paying for their 4 years of college -- better than a kick in the butt :-)! And like cpad said, I had no idea that anything like this was happening ... all the abused Occupy PATRIOTS should sue the cops and the cities where they were abused -- maybe the next time the fuzz would think twice b4 they beat up one of those most excellent PATRIOTS :-)!!!!!!
