Mitt Romney cuts off campaign workers credit cards, leaves workers stranded
source: http://MSNBC.com
Many campaign workers found themselves in restaurants, or cabs with an anxious vendor waiting to be paid and the staffer's credit cards declined. Mitt Romney left them holding the bag, and he was no longer willing to foot the bill. Some workers found themselves stranded in strange cities across the nation, hundreds or thousands of miles from home, without a penny in their pocket and no plan of action to take next.
This entire scenario is a window into the type of man Mitt Romney is at his core. When there is nothing to lose, and the cameras are not rolling, he is a ruthless individual.
Some members of the Romney staff took it in stride. MSNBC.com reported one staffer who, when asked about the credit cards being cut off, shrugged and said: "Fiscally conservative."
As is often the case, the perspective of the situation depends on how one looks at the situation.

Why would he continue to pay their wages? The election is over their services are no longer needed. So why would it even be consider that they should continue to receive wages for a service they are no longer providing. This whole statement has been misconstrued to make Romney look like a terrible person. He did what any other american would do.

So, if your employer sent you somewhere a long ways from where you are from to do a job but when the job was over he just told you that you are now on your own, what would you think about that? When a business closes it's doors the work is NOT over. The building must still be secured and anything left must be packed up. Do you really think that it is OK for an employer to abandon people before everything is finished and the employee has been returned to his hometown or do you think that it is perfectly appropriate to treat people that way?

Well, he likes being able to fire people that provide him with services. He didn't need their service anymore, so he fired them. But seriously, why were usage rules not established when the cards were issued? If they had been told their cards would be canceled at, say midnight, you wouldn't have heard anything about this because they would have planned accordingly. But in the absence of rules, people wrongly assumed that they would be able to get themselves home, pay their hotel and other campaign related bills (not unreasonable) before the cards would be canceled. So, if it wasn't clear that he ran a bad campaign after the loss, this little episode make that quite clear.

Well it was not the first time in this thread it was used to describe Mittens, just the first time I really had to give it a real definition because it is a tool. Many have said they would have had her Google it. I feel that communication required more than one definition and the meanness that goes with many uses. Actually one of the easier conversations. The subject of rape is right around the corner or very likely before Christmas. As a male though I feel like I want her armed with knowledge so she can hopefully make better choices.

It is amazing what these guys are admitting now. The staffer who was left holding the bag didn’t seem to mind finding his hands full of bag. He simply points out that leaving the little guy holding the bag is fiscal conservatism. They seem to be so undone by this whole experience that we have a campaign worker saying a good conservative screws the little guy without too much concern about how it sounds.

This shows what kind of man Romney really is. The reason he has so much money is because he screwed others out of their jobs. Outsourcing and vulture capitalism is his forte. Thank God that the majority of voters picked the community organizer who really cares about others, rather than the selfish jerk that left those that worked hard to try to get him elected left holding the bag.
