One Month Until 13 B’aktun - Celebrate the End of Doom!

I don’t know about you, but I’m excited about TEOTWAWKI (the end of the world as we know it)!
5,125 years completed. The rise and fall of civilization and agriculture.
We are witnessing a change that the Maya knew well about - climate change. It’s the product of the past 5,125 years of human history - leveling forest for crops and livestock, leaving deserts and disease in our wake.
What has been lost in the translation is that 13 B’aktun is about success, not failure. This is our time to shine according to the ancient Maya, Zapotec and Aztec peoples.
Let’s fulfill this vision by getting our collective act together!

We are already experiencing the shift to the New Golden age, nothing happens overnight you will see a lot of BS on the tube and other media sources that nothing happened on the 21st those Mayans were nuts. But the energy field in space the planet is going through will leave it's mark on those with an open mind and most important a clear mind. By that I mean the structural change our minds are awaiting and our body's as well is taking place right now, free yourself from any alcohol, drugs to allow your mind and spirit self to absorb the energy being thrusted upon the planet. It's free, why not soak in as much as you can take, the Universe will set us free to a new way of life.....:)

I like the way you think, Kenny!
You remind me of what happened right after 'Harmonic Convergence' in August 1987 - a date marked by the Maya and Aztec calendars as the end of "the nine hells of impending doom." The media treated it as another doomsday cult and on August 17, 1987 everyone said, "See, nothing happened."
But things did happen. That week the Central American Peace Treaty was signed which ended war there for the past 25 years. Then came the People Power revolution in the Philippines which ousted Marcos, the end of Apartheid in South Africa with Mandela as its new President, and the fall of the Berlin Wall.
We are in the midst of a wonderful shift. It only requires an open heart. - 6 months ago

Yup, one of the many problems of a got to have it now society. If it doesn't happen within an hour it must not be happening. I have evidence the shift is currently happening that I can't disclose but personally I can vouch for it. A ways to go, but so far it has been miraculous! :)

I believe in the Mayan version of Apocalypse (the true meaning of the word, that is)... which is to say... I think we are approaching the next stage of evolution. My interpretation (based on a near-death experience and the work of Pinchbeck and McKenna) is that we are conglomerating our combined intelligence in order to reach the next level of symbiosis. The success of evolution can essentially be traced back to (and is compounded by) symbiosis. The bonding of lifeforms to form unions that are stronger than their individual parts. That's why mitochondria have their own DNA. They were once another separate organism. So the next step (after consciousness) then... is a shared consciousness.
We are about to start moving back UP to the next peak in time's ebb and flow (according to some ancient civilizations, time can be represented by a wave... a specific frequency.). Fear is the mind-killer... and we must embrace what's ahead! It's going to be awesome!
I truly believe the shift is coming... but hell, if it's not, that's okay, too. I'd prefer a quick death to a slow and painful one for one thing. AND... the planet will be fine. If we get to see the end of humans, that's still pretty amazing in some sense. Not to be morbid or anything... but I don't have a particularly strong fear of death. But stay positive. Treat people as your brothers and sisters... whatever happens, we're all in this together, and we're at the whim of the universe. Spread that love!

Yes, it's about symbiosis. We are interdependent whether we like it or not. I too see the shift, like a tidal wave.
I don't see it as a religious thing. It's cosmological, having to do with the Sun and changes taking place at the center of our galaxy. Supernova g19 certainly blew astrophysicists minds a few years ago with its speed and mass.
It's not science as we know it, but perhaps the Maya discovered something about our universe that we have yet to grasp.
We shall soon find out. - 6 months ago

Well and truly said.!!! An ancient Greek philosopher once said that the universe was made of waves and numbers. And as Kenny said above avoid alchohol and drugs, so you can be in tune and feel the energy in the cosmos. I say it is like magic. I find it all to be awesome.

Very interesting video.
The Maya focused on galactic center - 'the Dark Rift' - for what is to come on the winter solstice of 2012.
A few years ago Supernova g19 at galactic center stunned scientists with its strange behavior. Its cosmic rays are travelling faster than the speed of light!
Some see it as the Hopi 'Blue Star Kachina' long foretold to appear at the time of great change. I can see why they think this. - 6 months ago

TEOTWAWKI -- can't come soon enough as so many aspects of this current world need to be "laid to rest" :-)!
As a witch I celebrate 'christmas' on December 21 b/c I don't recognize the 'christian' holiday. - 6 months ago

I will be out at our local stone circle watching the sun rise on the Solstice as I am a child of the Goddess and do not follow the "usurper" religion.

I'll bring some more firewood and a bottle of brandy :-)!
If the weather is as warm on the Solstice as it was today (74) I might celebrate it skyclad under Mousav; otherwise we will probably just have a relaxing evening at home enjoying the fact that the Goddess guided us through another year. My husband had to have his dialysis catheter replaced yesterday and next week we start the process of prepping for a new fistula (this will be the 3rd one) -- at this point I will be thrilled to have the week of the Solstice free with nothing more than his 3 days per week dialysis :-)! Our 43rd anniversary is that tuesday (Dec. 18) -- if everything works out we will go out to a nice dinner to celebrate. Next year he wants to renew our vows -- I'm really starting to get into that idea!

Can't disagree with that :-)! Got a kinda funny story to tell you about "fire and a stiff drink" -- a couple weeks ago Mike picked up the remote to turn on the fireplace and dropped it; something inside the remote broke b/c it rattles so we haven't turned on the fireplace since then for fear that we wouldn't be able to turn it off again. I called the Monday right after that and found out that the particular remote that we have is $200 and it will cost another 100 to have the tech come out and program it ... Mike's Solstice present this year is having the fireplace back :-)!

That sounds as wonderful as artemis' and Coolplanets' plans do! Would that I could celebrate this Solstice at Chaco since I lived there when I was very young -- my father was Superintendent there until I was 6 :-). I've been back there twice in the last few years and it truly did feel like I was coming home! But I also love my current home as Omaha has so many beautiful trees -- I can look out my bedroom window at Mousav who shades our entire backyard.
I agree about the "usurper" religion as Constantine made our Gods and Goddesses saints so that the pagans would accept catholicism. I prefer to keep the old ways.Pwr 2 the witchy wiccan peons! HONOR GAIA!

You are so right about that! I tried mans religion when I was younger, but it never fit me and only served to make me angry -- I think b/c I knew innately that it wasn't true and it honors neither us or the Goddess.

I believe the wisdom: "A tree is known by its fruit."
I look at humanity's million year history and see the past few thousand years of patriarchy as a blight -- endless wars, poverty and pollution.
i also see the gentle matriarchal peoples angry patriarchs have obliterated.
