Last week, the FDA announced that genetically modified salmon produced by AquaAdvantage that grows much faster than other fish normally do, would have no impact on the “human environment” in the U.S. http://www.topsecretwriters.com/2012/12/fda-says-genetically-modified-salmon-saf...

    • The FDA has not done enough study to really determine if the long term impacts of GMO's. The department has been taken over by lobbyists and has no intentions of labeling any modified "lifeform" as unsafe. The fact that they use an altered microbe to infiltrate the mitochondria where it dispences its (altered)DNA...should be alam enough to halt all GMO production(.See mitochondrial disease http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitochondrial_disease )
How does this microbe react within it own domain will remain a mystery because they have no idea of the consequences(nor do they care).
Kind of mimicks the days of nazi germany and their science programs
Where the heck is the church and all the moral nay-sayers this is playing God and if I am correct we have (or had ) laws that prohibitted this.
Not to mention that a GMO is owned and protected in the library of congress as a pantent....READ CAREFULLY...They will replace all organisms with GMO's and if you try to grow your own food .....you will be arrested fined and put in jail for copywrite infringement.(or something to that effect).
Have faith in our president he is on our side (for the most part) and he needs us more than we need him at this point. We need to assemble in our communities and form coallitions against the pantenting of lifeforms for this is both immoral and unjust.

I motion to create laws that protect the origin of species and to give the oiginal natural beings right of way. Also ammendments that require any and all GMO's to be contained in a seperate environment protecting the natural world.
      *********************************************************************************************
Do I get a second of the motion???

    • Farmed salmon are fed fish. They catch a whole crap load of small fish and other stuff, add a bunch of crap to it and dump it into the water. You get a nice load of additives with your farmed salmon and it comes in extra special orange colour. Now you can also get a free pair of boobs with your GM salmon. Of course this salmon will likely have little effect on the concrete, steel or brick now known as the "human environment".

    • If the FDA says it's safe you know it isn't. They will also approve Agent Orange Gm corn as well. Their track record speaks for itself. Notice the words "human environment" in quotes. They won't tell you what it will do when it contaminates natural (wild) salmon populations.

You are correct, I don't trust them. Look at Japan, they are selling contaminated fish to the rest of the World, they just keep raising the amount of contamination that is safe to eat. Where I used to eat a lot of tuna I now use canned chicken instead of tuna. I use the same seasoning as before for tuna patties but use canned chicken in place of tuna. I do the same with tuna salad. I've worked on Reactor Plants and I know enough to know they are making a mistake eating the fish that is being sold by Japan and many other Countries today.

    • As with every branch of government, whatever they say or print, it's wise to ask who's profiting from us believing and cooperating with that information, and how likely is it that just the opposite is true. It can't be restated too often, when the people completely disbelieve and distrust nearly every component of government, that government is no longer legitimate. We must now ask ourselves, do we even have a legitimate government in the U.S. any longer?

" do we even have a legitimate
government in the U.S. any longer?"

I would say no. I'm also willing to bet that if they would've had an open nationwide election asking if people wanted genetically modified food, the no vote would have been unanimous.

    • Then why aren't THEY eating them ??? Nobama has a Monsanto GMO exec
sitting as his Dept of Agriculture secretary. As we all know by now the FDA
is a Corporate Government puppet, they have no credibility left to impeach.
