Occupy Asks You To Petition The N.Y. Post---

Image
News and calls to action from #occupywallstreet in NYC.

#OccupyWallStreet

Dear Commonsense,

Take Action Now to Protect OWS from false allegations of terrorism

Dear NY Post: We are not terrorists! On Monday, December 31st, Rupert Murdoch’s New York Post reported that weapons and high explosive powder were found in the home of a Greenwich Village couple. The article also featured an evidence-free assertion that one of the accused is an “Occupy Wall Street activist”.

Our experience is that hyping falsehoods about Occupy Wall Street contributes to real and documented police violence, unconstitutional domestic spying activities, and the marginalization of constituencies and views that deserve respectful treatment by reporters.

We are concerned about the false allegations that OWS is linked to individuals involved in violence or criminal activity. And the New York Post is playing an especially prominent role in misinforming the public, as seen in their Dec. 31 piece alleging a (nonexistent) link between two suspects arrested with bomb making materials and Occupy Wall Street.

Demand a retraction and an apology from the New York Post on the same print and Web pages as the original accusation.

Since its inception Occupy Wall Street has been firmly committed to non-violence. Yet this is far from the first time that the Post has distorted the facts of a story in order to associate the movement with violence.

Tell Rupert Murdoch and the New York Post to stop their dangerous lying about Occupy Wall Street.

Join us, and help spread the word.

-- from concerned OWS activists

Funny thing, the occupy movement in Eugene was put to an end because of assaults, destruction of private property, and a death... the problem is that the occupy movement here did not destroy property, they actually took better care of the park that they set up in than the city did and did not vandalize the city. There was an assault... as in a single assault... which resulted in a death, but the assault resulted from the city police releasing a mentally disturbed individual they had in their jail to start a fight. Well it worked better than they'd hoped, that mentally disturbed person not only started a fight, but he ended up having a coronary after he was subdued and turned back to the police by the occupy protestors.

Even though those you picture are more likely to be Corporate Right / FBI agent provocateurs, both symbolic actions in the pic are very similar to such protests during the VietNam War. The Corporate Right government and forces has been using the American Flag to shit on America and the rest of the world for a century, and a symbolic shit on the flag they have been abusing us all with is a symbolic shit on the Corporate Right. Considering the way the Corporate Right utilized statist police forces to violate Occupiers civil rights and physically abuse them, such a person would be justified in shitting on the face of the police while others hold them in place. Symbolical protests are non violent, and are effete compared to what they would be justified in doing to those who are waging a violent war to the death on peaceful American citizens. The Corporate Right initiated a violent war to the death on America, Americans and democracy decades ago. Now, we all see that what should be our government is singularly the tool and mechanism of the corporate right, and American citizens are left to fend for themselves in any effort to improve the quality of our existence. I don't expect for you to be able to recognize or understand this, because you either suffer an amygdala dominant disorder, or are blinded to truth by 40 pieces of silver. Either way, you are not an American citizen by definition of embracing the essential principles that are the foundation of America and our Constitution. You are a traitor to your country, at best. Involuntary manslaughter is still manslaughter, and "ignorance is no excuse in breaking the law, or violating morality."

Easy to say, but a clear case of denial of truth.

The PROOF is in the fact that people around degenerates who burn and crap on our flag, destroy property, scream obscenities and such are all cheering. I suppose all the people who cheer are "plants," too. What a joke.

Flags have many uses, good, bad, honest, dishonest, patriotic, deceitful and destructive. Sadly, our flag has been used primarily for destructive, dishonest and unpatriotic purposes since WWII. When the flag is being deceitfully and symbolically used as such, to draw attention to that fact, as pictured herein, is a patriotic, pro democracy and pro Constitution act. Again, I don't expect you to be capable of understanding these deeper thoughts.

You just don't grasp reality, do you? OWS never left -on their own accord-. They were usually forced away from their property, generally without notice, sometimes in the deep of night, without ample time to make the multiple trip to take their property with them. OWS in New York City was forced away and not allowed the time to box and retrieve a very extensive library which they had collected and cared for. Corporate didn't want them to have books which would help them improve their lives, in the same way that the Catholic church burnt numerous libraries in medieval times and during the inquisition. Look up the writer of this: "A little learning is a dangerous thing. Drink deep, or taste not of the Pierian Spring..." The author is a celebrated American writer.

      {the anarchists/traitors are people like you who desire to destroy democracy and the Constitution by suppressing the right to free speech.}

If you consider defecating on the flag and police cars, disrupting people in a city going to work, trashing parks, destroying property, throwing firebombs in the streets and screaming obscenities in public "free speech," then our country is lost. We have degenerated to an ugly mob.

300,000 people (read that number!) gathered in D.C. in the summer of 2010 to protest. There was not a single fight, and they left it clean. ONE-THIRD OF A MILLION PEOPLE!

And these people changed the composition of the United States Congress! You certainly did not like how they changed it, but they did. Without burning flags and destroying property and attacking police; without raping and leaving filth; and without showing disrespect to the public and working people.

I cannot know every single case, and I am sure you will do the anti-capitalist, Left-winger thing: Find some rare examples and present them as commonplace and pervasive. I DO know that the park in NYC became one of the most dangerous places in the city, and filled with trash and filth. I DO know that these OWS "protestors" are asked - again and again - to submit to lawful orders to disperse and not "occupy" property illegally. They have stopped trade in Oakland. They have raped and destroyed property.

They're spinning Dervishly and bemoaning that Soros is making money that they believe only they should be making, even though they rant and rave that everyone should be able to employ their practices. That's when they typically have them murdered -assassanated-, and why Soros is compelled to travel with such a security brigade as he does. Dick Scaife blew a gasket when all that spent Pittsburgh money couldn't sink Clinton, and they're all fuming now that their unlimited spending couldn't shut the majority of America and Obama down. You Obama haters are punching and spitting at the majority of America. It's worth considering the psychological makeup of people who insist on maintaining an ongoing fight with the majority of America, when their decisions have already been implemented.

Your monologues and diatribes in themselves promote the Corporate Right agenda, even if you've been unwittingly indoctrinated by the Corporate Right propaganda/marketing machine. Rich people are not bad simply because they are rich, in my view. But very few get quite rich without harming, exploiting or oppressing another. Stockholders who know that they are earning dividends or stock price increases by poisoning other people's air, food or water are guilty of their stock's corporate sins. Those who get rich from the deaths and spilled blood of soldiers on the oil sands of the Middle East knowingly, are as guilty of manslaughter as the Pentagon. The hypocrisy in all of your posts herein is that those who you advocate for are the "criminals, degenerates, rapists, destroyers of property, thrill seekers" and so much more. The difference between those you advocate for and those related to OWS actions is that your heroes commit all of their sins on mass and international scales. You have buried your head in the oil sands if you don't recognize the assault on mankind by the Corporate Right, for decades.

While I don't think in terms of the fairy tales you keep referring to, I believe that the Arcadia you refer to is more a state of mind in the moment. Yet, the battle civilization will continually have to wage against the "evil ones" is the baser, more primitive, part of human nature. Physiologically, it is the cerebral hemisphere's (frontal/prefrontal cortex's) -commonly associated with the "Left-winger nuts and civilization"- permanent struggle for dominance over the amygdala (the primitive, lower functioning part of the brain) -commonly associated the the "Right-winger fundamentalist extremists and the more isolated nomadic hunter-. Condensed, it is the battle between civilization and it's antithesis, the "individual" nomadic hunter. Notice that the salient distinction is that the "individual" nomadic hunter, or hunter group, does not create. Instead, they wander around stealing, killing and attempting to take that which civilization produces. The implication is that they are barbarians, by modern standards of civilization, as in "Barbarians At The Gate." In case you have chosen to forget it, "Barbarians At The Gate" is a metaphor for the Corporate Right, aka "Vulture Capitalists."

Using the totally social and politically ignorant Corporate Right stooly, Ronald Regan, reveals that you are incapable of grasping reality any more than Regan was. He entered the Whitehouse with the early stages of alzheimers/dementia, so he had an excuse at that time. What's your excuse?

Ha! They only acknowledged it after he left the Whitehouse, of course. Why else was he known to sleep through meetings and couldn't remember anything at the Iran-Contra hearings? Run that one up someone else's flagpole, yo. Or, are you saying your Jesus Christ of the Corporate Right was pretending not to remember anything about his decisions, aka lying.

Nope. There is documentated testimony that I can post. But you will say it is all a "conspiracy" and that the doctors who clearly and unequivocally said that there were no signs are involved in a cover-up.

That is how Left-wingers work: Agree with them, and it is OK. If not, one is either a liar, brainwashed or involved in a conspiracy.

Must be nice having pat excuses for any conflict or dissent.

    • Signed. The NY Post is a worthless rag and a poor excuse for journalism. The lies are something one comes to expect in little papers with big print.

    • Signed! And I read about this BS story re: this couple being a part of OWS. Murdoch and others will do anything to silence dissent!
