"U.S. CEOs Push Plan To Raise Full Retirement Age To 70"

Image
"An influential group of business CEOs is pushing a plan to gradually increase the full retirement age to 70 for both Social Security and Medicare and to partially privatize the health insurance program for older Americans."

Here we go again. Yet one more Corporate Right strategy to prevent as much of the People's money from being spent on the People, so that Congress can steal and trasfer / redistribute our money into corporate coffers. Same old story and scam that we have to fight back on and save some of our money for some of us.

    • It would seem that the right have managed to incorporate two distinct social needs - health care AND retirement - into one over arching policy.

      Work until you drop dead.

There was a documentary on TV the other day about another government in the 1940s that had the same policy, but I could not understand it, because it was narrated in German.

    • The irony is almost physical. These are the same people that screw the government out of billions in taxes yearly that could be used for SS and medicaid and medicare. These are the people that trashed the economy in 2008 and caused millions to lose their jobs and retirement savings. Now they're pushing raising the retirement age to 70? Hmm, how can I put this gently....go fuck yourselves.
