Obama just finished his inauguration, being sworn into office for the second time. This fact evidences that the People of this country have moved in a direction which they can't be turned back from, despite the trillions of dollars being spent to roll back the hands of time.

Obama's speech was filled with furling, flowing and soaring rhetoric, invoking the civil rights sentiments of Abraham Lincoln with a chorale singing of Glory, Glory Hallaleujah!

Yet, I'm still compelled to ask, "Where's The Beef?!?"

Obama spoke of liberties, freedoms and civil rights. Yet, he has signed into law more civil rights reversals and restrictions than any other single term president in history. At no time in our prior history has this government taken the liberty to arrest a citizen without articulated cause or warrant, and secretly confine them without any portion of due process, until now.

Obama spoke of economic equitability and fairness. Yet, he has entrusted our economic system only to those who have participated in the most socially destructive economic actions to have ever occurred, and the largest transfer of public wealth into 1% of the nation's hands in history. Of the 25 billion the mortgage industry was fined, less than 1% of that has been distributed to the people who's homes were stolen by foreclosure, who's homes are under water or are on the edge of being foreclosed on.

From pre history through Hitler and to this moment, lip service and rhetoric have led entire populations to their own demise. The smoke and mirrors and nut shell game of politics and governance will always occur in human populations. It is your job, it is my job, to direct the actions of government and hold them accountable to us for the promises they make to us. The baser part of humankind is deceitful and self serving, everyone is vulnerable to the social ill of self centeredness, so we can only expect our own eyes, ears and mouths to stay government on the straight and narrow of serving OUR INTERESTS
